rip the guitar pick that fell into my guitar
youll be missed
I still loathe you, B7 chord...
Every time I listen to Jeff Beck era Yardbirds, I remember why I wanted to learn guitar...
Fucking Avail.
I hope my daughter finds a band she loves as hard as I love Avail, and I hope that band helps her through the rough times.
I had a shit day at work today, and I expect the same of tomorrow...
So, tonight, I'm trying to teach myself an Avail tune, or two.
Well, my melody lines phrasing, at least in my guitar playing sense, takes a lot from Post-Punk.
What an unusual revelation to encounter.
I popped the low G while putting flats on my 350/12 copy.
I'm equally angry and sad.
Dammit.
The difference between playing fingerstyle, and playing fingerstyle with finger picks, is absolutely light years.
I'm 5 days into banjo playing, and I can do the rolls far more fluidly without finger picks.
So now, at the suggestion of the Internet in terms of learning technique, I'm forcing myself to work out how to use the finger picks.
Music is always an adventure.
I got a custom string set from Stringjoy, to Pete Townshend specifications, for my SG Special.
As someone who regularly plays nothing heavier than 10s, playing 12s is like going from electric guitar to bass VI.
I really don't have another way of explaining the difference.
What's even worse was that I originally strung it correctly, right-handed, when I opened the strings. I managed to unstring and re-string, correctly (left-handed) for me, with the same strings.
