Does Gungir understand that part of the reason MC has no interest in being friends with him is because of the constant favoritism their father shows toward him? How does he feel about getting gushed and doted on by the Jarl who in the same breath berates and treats his own child as less than dirt?
Gungir sees how the Jarl treats you, and he understands the reason behind it. He also knows why you refuse to befriend him, but he cares too much to let your pain go unnoticed. That’s why he continues to check on you, hoping to become someone you can rely on.
He also despises the way the Jarl treats you and the way he shows favoritism, but he still holds a certain respect for the man so his kind words warm his heart even if he doesn't want them to.
Uhhh. So it's kinda implied that at the end of episode 9 The Watcher drops Natasha off in the universe from episode 3. I mean it could be another universe but... Loki's in the same outfit as episode 3. Loki mentions Fury's "replacement Avengers". We see Captain America and Captain Marvel fighting the Asgardian forces. (Who are the two we specifically see being recruited at the end of episode 3.)
Yes?
So where the hell did Loki get the scepter containing the mind stone?
Like how did no one catch that glaring grand-canyon-sized plot hole?
In episode 3 Loki is using Gungnir, why would he switch to using the mind stone. And how did he get it away from Thanos?
In the original timeline Loki got the scepter from Thanos after falling from the bifrost, being tortured for a year, then being sent to Earth by Thanos.
Are we supposed to believe that in this universe Thanos never had the mind stone? Then why is it in a scepter identical to the one Thanos gave Loki? That's a big jump to say yes the mind stone ended up in a scepter but it never ended up with Thanos.
What if...? was just such a hot mess. There was some good content, but just so many plot holes that even the multiverse can't explain away.
I don't know. Don't mind me. These are just the things that pop into my brain.
gungir romance route literally so funny from a certain perspective. up until now i have dedicated my life to being an olympic level hater of this guy who has done nothing to me personally as sort of a proxy for my category 5 father issues, but some wires got crossed when i made him get on his knees and beg and now i dream of tenderly embracing him under the moonlight. aita
You are the asshole, yes, but a redeemable (and horny) one.
For now, your relationship with Gungir is not at a place of no return so if you switch it up and try not to go out of your way to curse him, all will be well! However, if you do a certain thing in chapter 2 and don't apologize, it will mark the beginning of a very rocky road for the two of you.
hii i’m really sorry if this has been mentioned somewhere and i just missed it, but did gungir grow up with mc and raud? since there was no mention of him when we were a kid, did he arrive to the village later?
Gungir did not grow up with the MC and Raud. He came after Raud left. The moment Raud moved, everything went to shit. 😔
So I was going through the second chapter and I realized I wrote something you can't reach.
In this deleted scene, you see what happens if you’re drunk and Thyra slaps you. You want to apologize, but you only get slapped if you killed Alvir (the path where you can't get drunk)."
Wasted my damn time writing this. AHHH!
Behind you, Thyra trails. It is she who lingers in your mind, the sting on your cheek a constant reminder of your words.
You slow to match her pace.
Instantly, Gungir's hand comes to stop you, tight around your elbow as you stumble forward with his tug. "Where are you going?"
A growl escapes past your lips as you tear your arm free. "Can I—not talk to Thyra?"
He glances over his shoulder, then back to you. His eyes are tight, lips pursed in thought. Eventually, he speaks, "You can, come with me—"
"Alone."
He squints. "Why alone?"
(choice) "I scared her." You frown at yourself, wondering why you can't seem to stop the words from flooding out. "I want to apologize."
His eyes widen, a flicker of innocence glinting within them. "Slapped you? Oh, I-I remember." He coughs awkwardly, casting a quick glance over his shoulder before leaning closer to you. "What are you going to say to her?"
"Uh." Your thoughts stumble and sway, like trying to piece together fragments of a shattered puzzle. "I… I have not—a clue."
Gungir hums softly, a tune that seems to calm his nerves more than yours. "What if… what if you complimented her?"
You scrunch your nose, even to your drunken mind that sounds ridiculous. "What?"
"W-well, women like to hear kind words, do they not? It could soften her mood, then you may ease into an apology." He glances over his shoulder once more, then leans in, his voice a quiet murmur. "She favors compliments about her hair most."
Her hair?
*if (thyra_romance)
A bitter weights settle in your chest. "How would you know?" you snarl, the words slurred but biting.
*if not(thyra_romance)
"How would you know?" you slur, suspicious. Is he perhaps trying to trick you?
"Her sisters told me when I stopped by her home for bread." Then, with a quick nudge of his head and a grin, he adds, "Now go, before you lose your nerve."
Anne and Gungir grow distant as you fall behind.
Thyra doesn't look your way.
"I, uh, like your—your hair."
She blinks, slow and deliberate. Her head turns with a terrifyingly deliberate slowness, eyes narrowing as she fixes her gaze on you. "What?"
You swallow, the words catching in your throat, and stammer, "I-I like your… hair?"
Her tongue darts out to lick her lips, and for a moment, time seems to stretch, your breath caught in the tension. Without warning, she spins to face forward, the motion sharp.
"Fool," she mutters under her breath, though there's a faint pink tint rising on the tips of her ears that betrays her calm facade. "What is it you really want?"
For a moment, he stills. If he were to beg, Lolth would come willingly. It's a simple deal, but one that tarnishes his dignity. But only with one person. He gulps. Sort of, he owes it—his humiliation—to Lolth. It would bring a smile on —a cruel one, but a smile nonetheless. Lolth deserves it.
okay so i'm playing a very sadistic and malicious Mc, But it's brought a smile to my face that Gungir genuinely wants you to smile.
any kind of smile
Anything to keep you happy. Poor guy feels so bad about everything that’s happening with the MC and their father that he needs them to experience at least SOME type of joy. Doesn’t matter if he’s the butt of the joke.
