FFXIV Callout Post
I don't usually do this kind of thing because I'm really not a fan of callout posts. But sometimes something so big happens that people need to know. The heavy burden to get the message out into the community falls on me today. I am sorry to those who wish they didn't have to see this today. But here we go: Some people in this game... are AMAZING. They are kind and patient and helpful. You go into a dungeon or, say, a tough Primal fight and wipe over and over and instead of saying, "Uh... Sorry. Gotta bounce!" or just abandoning in frustration-- these people decide to STAY. You'll recognize this kind of person right away. They say things like: "Don't worry! Just follow me!" or "Each time we wipe we get a little further, so we got this!" or "I got through this; we'll get you through it too." I need to warn you: When this happens you WILL feel moved. Maybe if you're anxious you'll wonder if the kindness has a limit. "One more wipe and they'll probably make their excuses." And that's Ok! You wouldn't blame them for doing it. But instead they might-- it is possible!-- stay.
So calling out the group that helped me and @dumb-hat out today when we were struggling and stayed with us until we got through it! You are the kind of people being referenced when forums talk about what a good community FFXIV has. So thank you!
And thank you to everyone else who behaves this kindly and patiently. <3 Someone out there probably has made a callout post about you too.
