I could not be any prouder of @benchlike.betty and @nhiknee for killing their first meet. Thank you both for trusting me to get you through the day and (mostly) listening. It's been incredible to watch you both grow through your training and see the competition bug bite you. This was my first meet handling athletes and it's made me love the sport even more. Definitely looking forward to making that role a bigger part of my engagement in the community. ♥️ ----------- A big thank you to @abiyababu and @kaltess808 for braving the weather with us and being my backups when I was being pulled a bunch of different directions. You guys (mostly) listened, as well. 😂 ------------ Powerlifting is a family sport, y'all. I suggest anyone interested or just curious come out to a local meet and start talking to people. We're usually pretty nice... Even if we don't look it. The family I've built during my time lifting and competing is ever expanding and so incredibly supportive. If you are lifting and nervous about competing, sign up for a meet. You're never going to be "ready."
