Salí de mi país por el diagnóstico de mi hijo. Hace ya 20 años. ⁣ No habían terapias suficientes aún, teniendo recursos, no había esperanza para el en RD.⁣ ⁣ No solo son las terapias y un lugar en el colegio. Todavía no hay un sistema que permita el éxito en la vida de estos pequeñitos y el soporte adecuado para sus familias. ⁣ ⁣ Mi sacrificio no fue pequeño deje atrás todo lo que el dinero no puede comprar! Mis sueños. Mi hogar. Mi carrera. Mi familia y su apoyo. Viví muchos momentos de incertidumbre y soledad, ansiedad y dolor muchas veces al tener que tomar tantas decisiones que impactarían la vida de mis hijos en un país donde todo me era desconocido. Esto no se lo deseo a nadie. Aún así no se compara con todo lo que otras personas pasan al venir aquí buscando una mejor vida. ⁣ ⁣ Estos niños crecen y al crecer sus problemas aumentan y la responsabilidad y limitación de sus padres. Mi pregunta es ¿𝗤𝘂𝗲 𝘃𝗮 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗶 𝗵𝗶𝗷𝗼 𝗰𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗮 𝗻𝗼 𝗲𝘀𝘁é 𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮? He presenciado los actos más atroces y me dije cómo puedo cambiar esto? ⁣ ⁣ De todas estas experiencias y mi capacitación nace mi Fundacion @haapefl aquí en Estados Unidos la cual es pionera en programas educativos y empleo para jóvenes autistas a nivel mundial y nacional. También en modelos vocacionales y negocios. Y capacitación para padres, escuelas, ciudades y empleadores. ⁣ ⁣ Hoy estamos trabajando en varios proyectos donde se mira el porvenir a largo plazo de dichos jóvenes y familias avaladas por prestigiosas universidades como STANFORD UNIVERSITY, NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY, GEORGIA TECH, BROWARD COLLEGE y muchas más. ⁣ ⁣ Sr. Presidente @luisabinader y Primera Dama #raquelarbaje @educacionrd @raquelpenavice @carolinamejiagomez @bolivarvalera @ramon_tolentino1 pongo a su disposición mis conocimientos, nuestros proyectos y todo el equipo que me respalda para crear un mejor porvenir para cada niño y joven autista. ⁣ ⁣ Hoy al oír esta canción de @jhonwaynerd me identifico tanto con su impotencia! 𝗢𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗼𝘄𝗻 is a non-profit that provides training to adults with disabilities to support the attainment of independent living skills, overall employability, job sustainability, and community engagement with the overarching goal of successful employment and independent living. ⁣ ⁣ 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵-𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿. ⁣ ⁣ The camp will be facilitated by medical students who have an interest in caring for individuals with autism.
