This time, I did it on reverse. This time, I read the book first. This time, when I watched the trailer, I hardly resisted myself to watch the Netflix adaptation before starting the book. This time, I read the physical book. Yes, the book cover is that stunning from up close too. This time, I have actually, personally read and enjoyed thoroughly the classic. If I dare say, it is one of my top favorites of this year and all time, till the end of times. This time, just after finishing the book in hand, I listened to the audiobook, all over again. People hate Rebecca. People love Rebecca. People talks endlessly about Rebecca. Prople know secrets of Rebecca. I have controversial feelings for Rebecca. Rebecca. Rebecca. Rebecca. Rebecca. Rebecca. Personally, I don't read romantic suspense stories, for me, both of the genres are better kept apart. But, as I am having blind dates with books since 2020, I couldn't figure it out at first. I did my best to keep safe distance from spoilers, but then, I simply went in Goodreads and spoiled myself and then hated me, for quite some time, till another twist hit hard. Finally, I ruined the Netflix experience. I kept on pointing out the differences, even though I kept on reminding myself of the fact that it is a adaptation, changes are mandatory. But. That. Part. Was. Not. In. The. Book. So, you see, I loved Rebecca, I love Rebecca. There are so many characters, so many traits, so many reasons to sail the ship, so many twists and turns. But but I did, through out the book, is feel her, and I am mesmerized by her. It is Rebecca, you see, just her. I can not see, no one else, I can not hear no one else.
