With the Ruinous Quartet raids running currently, I've been doing an above average amount of online raids. I'm now begrudgingly reminded of the worst part of pokemon, people who still think it's even remotely acceptable to use hacked/genned pokémon. Shiny hunting and/or raising competitive level pokemon is borderline effortless in modern games, you've got no excuse.

pretty much everything people are using for Wo-Chien currently is either Fire or Poison type, ie weak to Ground...

If you or your Pokémon have a goddamn URL for a name, I will turn on you, no exceptions. I don't care if we lose, in fact that's the goal. You will not be getting raid rewards on my watch. If you want to be a lazy, entitled, toxic fucking clown...

PICK A DIFFERENT GAME.

i am indescribably disappointed in the people who hack mons into the game. shinies are still rare after all this time for a reason, the thrill of finding them! having a mon with high stats is something you work and strategize for and some stats just cant be as high as others! experience candies can be earned in raids and ability patches are coveted FOR A REASON! stop. hacking. mons.

im also disappointed in people who receive a hacked mon in surprise trade and trade it back to someone else instead of releasing it so it's not in the system anymore. less than people who bring hacks in, still disappointed. just release them what can you gain from this other than a guilt-tainted pleasure of sweeping raids with a pokemon that shouldnt exist?

you guys are the game universe equivalent of pokemon hunters, illegally/cruelly obtaining rare pokemon and selling them black market; and the hunters' clients. i dont consider people who buy hacked mons part of the pokemon community.

Hey PSA for Pokemon Scarlet/Violet players:

PLEASE STOP TRADING HACKED SHINY POKEMON IN SURPRISE TRADE.

Not only does it suck because the pokemon can't be used for online play- you're actively harming other players.

People have recently brought pokemon they didn't know were hacked to tournaments because they got them through surprise trade and they got banned for doing so.

If you get a shiny hacked pokemon (easiest way to tell is if OT is something like Monforge.com or RioluHQ.com) release it. It's safer for you if you do. It's against pokemon's TOS and there's always a risk of them just disappearing from your HOME boxes one day or you getting banned for having them.

This wouldn't be such a massive issue if gamefreak actually put into place the same type of hack detection for surprise trade they do for every other bit of online play and tournaments but they can't be bothered to. I've had to release 3 hacked pokemon so far in trying to hatch a shiny because people keep trading them.

If you get one: Take the ability patch from it (the item itself is safe). And release it. It's the best way to keep other unknowing players safe.

Surprise trade on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

I like doing surprise trade, so I do a whole bunch every now and then on Pokemon Violet.

I especially like giving out

Pokemon Violet exclusive Pokemon like Bagon, Flapple, Dreepy

Gastly/Haunter, Cyther for the purpose of evolving.

So I send these out when I have them, or something I feel like sending out.

Apparently this one is Violet exclusive too, hope it was delivered to someone who is on Pokemon Scarlet.

And so far, I have received about 5 of infamous hacked Pokemon in return.

When I first saw the receipt of a Pokemon with a strange name, I looked up on Google what it was and some Reddit page I think was full of comments like "now your machines are hacked, your entire game data will be deleted. You have to plug off your machine, change your network password, HDMI cable, router, throw away your SWITCH".... which almost made me panic.

But then thought, wait a second, even malware and computer virus would not go in that far... HDMI cable? What?

And I continued to read through and learnt that so long as I do not use those Pokemon in public battles or competitions, my devices will not crash or I will not get sanction from Nintendo, but if you use them in public places, you might be considered cheating and might get a punishment - is the maximum you might get, apparently.

I release all these Pokemon just in case after taking a screenshot, so I do not possess them anymore but just to share with you what they look like.

I thought the starters do not have a shiny version? Maybe there are. This Fuecoco seems to be a shiny one. I cannot tell though...

Anyhow, apparently receiving a hacked or modified Pokemon will not destroy your devices or delete all your game files that they say. Good to know!?

just bought a used Japanese copy of pokemon white and the boxes are full of max level duplicate pokerus legendaries,..,.. I feel like these have gotta be hacked right?? like I don't even wanna transfer them up if they're all hacked anyways

let me know if you think a) that they are definitely hacked and/or b) you think I should reset over them for a future dream team file

because I'm kinda conflicted and if they're all hacked I would feel less bad deleting them all σ(^_^;) and I wanna hunt for an oshawott really bad!!!

Alright, the hacked shinies are starting to hit below the belt. They're giving me shinies i actually want but don't want to keep because their names are hacked pokemon website names.

I got a shiny hisuian zorua and it's pissing me off that i had to let it go because it's name was pokez.gg.

Fuck you hacked pokemon sites. I hope you get DDOSSed actually.

Okay, lemme tell y'all the story of how I accidentally got a hacked Lugia in Pokemon Moon cuz I just found out today that I still got this stinker in my save file after not playing the game for so long.

So it's a weekend in I think the summer of 2017 and I'm vibing out with @shadowroxz13 at her house (back when we used to lived relativy close to each other). It's the middle of the night). I'm messing around on Moon and decide to play around with the Wonder Trade feature since Shadow had pretty decent Wi-Fi and I literally had nothing better to do. I maybe have been messing around with it for at least 2 and a half hours trading random Pokemon back and forth. I think some time in the first hour of playing with Wonder Trade, Shadow mentions something about hack Pokemon and I think that's what kept me going for long.

All I remember, more importantly, is that at 2:30 in the morning through the exhausted fog of my mind, I catch a glimpse of a red Lugia on my 3DS screen and instantly bolt from up from laying on the couch. Lo and behold, I somehow while half asleep in the dead of night got a hacked shiny Lugia with maxed stats/level, Pokerus, the whole works and I'm almost certain that I used it to help me get through the rest of the game lol.

These hacked babies were sent to me through surprise trade today. Wtf do I do with them? They all also have pokerus. The irony is that I was wonder trading to find a Pokémon I wanted to breed for a shiny.
