how did you ever get her? Not to insult you! im just askin seriously
I’m not sure myself. My best guess is that I managed to pull off such a feat with a well-adjusted amount of perseverance and patience. And a small dose of luck.
(Or maybe it’s just because of my devastating good looks.
I kid.)
aww. you and halle are so cute. why do you love her?
Thank you. I’m glad you think so.
Why don’t I love her? I love her because she understands her priorities, and I’m always impresed by how much of herself she puts into her job despite all the hardships that come with. I love her because she makes me feel comfortable and at ease. I love her because she can keep up with me. I love her because she’s beautiful. I love her because she’s intelligent. I love her because she’s independent and constantly prove society wrong about their view on women— because, why do you think Halle Lidner is the only active female member in the SPK? I love her because she doesn’t look like it, and she’ll never show you, but she remembers the small, washed-out details about you that majority of everyone else will overlook. I love her because she never fails to make me coffee every morning.
I just love her.
dude what the actual hell.
You sound displeased. May I help you?
Halle grabbed the book, snapping it shut. "You started it." she mumbled with a smirk, tossing novel aside. "And stop lying. I know you can't read without them."
“What are you—” Attempting to snatch his book back— and failing— the bristled agent settled on frowning instead. Halle seemed pretty intent on monopolizing his attention, and she was unfortunately, fairly good at it. “I didn’t start anything. All I did was ask a simple question to which you refused to answer.” He crossed his arms defiantly. “Tch. I am perfectly capable of reading without them. I just choose not to.”
The agent emerged a good 20 minutes later from the bathroom, dressed in her pajamas, anger washed away. Halle looked over at Gevanni, nestled on his half of her mattress, reading contently. She raised an eyebrow, "You should wear your reading glasses more often, Gev."
The man took his eyes off the pages of his novel at the sound of his significant other’s voice, though glancing away once again rather quickly. He couldn’t lie— it was uneasy for him to send the cold shoulder in Halle’s direction, given that they hardly ever fought, but a small sense of pride prevented him from letting the matter rest fully.
“…You haven’t called me Gev in quite some time.” He stated quietly, adjusting the glasses carefully over his eyes. Still not looking at her. The agent exhaled through his nose and flipped a page.
Halle yawned again, "You're not pushing anything. But I would not like to talk about it."
He frowned a little and questioned, “Well, why not? You always avoid talking about it, and I’d like to know why.” It wasn’t usual for the dark-haired agent to pry into the business of other people, but this was different. For all the time that they’ve been dating, Halle seemed to avoid talking about this one thing as if it was the plague itself.
Halle chuckled, "If you wanted to say 'I love you', you would say, 'te amo'." she exhaled.
Hesitating for a flicker of a second, as if still clinging onto his doubts, he tightened his hold around her and lowered his lips to her ear. “…Te amo,” he breathed against her in a whisper. “Te amo, Halle.”
