So we know Halas is a Wizard, but is it possible that he’s also an artificer? I’m very curious about the collar that Caleb kept from the happy fun ball, and how Matt said it was a mix of abjuration magic and illusion magic. What I’m thinking is, this guy has already been proven to be a genius (maybe a little crazy too, but I digress) that was able to crest the happy fun ball and all the incredible stuff inside it, so why would he be limited to only one class? It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Matt had multiclassed this NPC.

So assuming halas was in the ruby for 1000 years, 1000 years × 365 days per year makes 365,000 days outside the ruby or 365,000 hours inside. 365,000 hours ÷ 24 hours in a day makes 15,208 days (minus .3 repeating). 15,208 days ÷ 365 days makes 41.6 years that halas was in the happy fun ball (and assuming the majority of that was stuck in the ruby)

Note: 41.6 is the same whether you are using our year length (365 days because fuck leap years) or exandria year length (328 days) because in my line of thinking I multiplied by days/year and then divided by it so it cancels out. Similarly, the leap years cancel out anyway so no matter your year length, halas was in the happy fun ball for roughly 40 years before the mighty nein found him.
