You know what I haven't seen? Danny and Tuckers as half-ghosts together after accidently activating the Fenton Ghost Portal atop themselves while posing for Sam's pictures.
I've seen Tucker as the half-ghost instead of Danny (although perhaps more rarely then other members of Team Phantom) and I love all of the Halfa Trio AUs. l'm pretty sure also I've seen at least one or two fics where Sam and Danny are Halfas together or Danny and Jazz are but never to my knowledge one were Danny and Tucker are.
And you know what? I think that's a pity because this AU could be fascinating.
For the Phic Phight prompt: The real reason Danny and Vlad became halfas is discovered. Why did it only happen with the proto-portal and portal? Why two people with knowledge of ghosts? (from @staira)

[Warnings for death and implied murder, I guess? Vlad's a bit of a creep at the end Idk]
Vlad was doing a little light reading before bed. An unknowably ancient tome stolen from the Ghost Zone's Infinite Archives made for excellent bedside literature. He turned the page with a yawn, resolving to go to sleep when he was done with the current chapter. Then he saw the title of the next chapter and all thoughts of sleep were banished from his mind.
Hybrida: The Still-Living Ghost.
Immediately Vlad became engrossed in the ghostly characters before his eyes, soaking up all the information he could. This book was from millennia ago, at least, and yet there was a chapter on a half-ghost, like him. Was there another one out there, still in the Ghost Zone? What had happened to them?
Hypomone of Thebes was a medium, a seer who communed with the dead. The histories say that from childhood, she was haunted by the spirits of those who would not pass on. Plagued by the ghosts that surrounded her, Hypomone enacted a solution that only she could. She created a spell.
The spell she created would open a door to Hades so that the restless spirits that followed her would be able to pass into the fields of Asphodel. Opening a door to the afterlife could only be done if two very specific requirements were met with a single, vital component.
First, the spell required a sacrifice to lay down their life to open the portal, but not just any sacrifice. The sacrifice had to be a human who had a close, lasting relationship with the dead. Hypomone, who had been surrounded by ghosts her whole life, fit the role perfectly.
Second, the portal required a host who was halfway between the worlds of the living and the dead, to carry it, and would make a suitable host out of it's sacrifice. Hypomone was prepared to become the host.
Hypomone prepared the spell under the light of the full moon. She drew a doorway in the earth. She stood in the center, and activated the spell, and when the doorway opened, it tore her apart. In the same moment she died, and yet survived, and became a halved, broken soul. Two bodies sharing the same place. At once, she was Hypomone of Thebes, and at once she was Hybrida of Hades. Half a woman, half a spirit, a still-living ghost.
She held the door open for the spirits who had surrounded her since she was young; those who could not afford to pay Charon, ferryman of the dead; or who had not been prepared to leave their living loved ones, and missed their opportunity to pass on. Though the pain of a halved life was excruciating, she held the door open, always, for any spirit that needed it.
If she has not yet passed into Elsewhereness or been destroyed, she holds the door open still.
Vlad's heart pounded in his chest. His mouth felt bone dry. His fingers trembled.
A sacrifice to lay down their life to open the portal. Vlad had died, passed slowly on from the lethal ecto-acne that had infected him.
A human who had a close, lasting relationship with the dead. Vlad had studied ectology for years before the proto-portal incident. Not his whole life as Hypomone had, but perhaps that was why he'd gotten infected first, and not been torn apart instantly like her.And perhaps it was because he hadn't died right away that the proto-portal had ultimately failed.
A host who was halfway between the worlds of the living and the dead.
Vlad swallowed. A half-ghost had to act as the portal's host. Was that why, when he'd first opened the portal in his own lab, it had transformed him unexpectedly?
And Daniel? Daniel was the same way, wasn't he? Vlad thought. The boy had been exposed to ectoplasm his whole life, perhaps even when he was still in the womb. He had been involved in an accident with his parents' new Fenton Portal, and... it hadn't worked before that accident. It couldn't function without a sacrifice... without a host.
This was all such enlightening information.
Hypomone, or Hybrida, whichever she was, could still be in the Ghost Zone to this day. There was a chance he could even find her, slim though that chance may be. The Infinite Realms was, after all, infinite.
Most interestingly, however, Vlad knew the recipe now. Knew how to create another half-ghost. All he had to do was find the right sacrifice, and build a portal. Then he could finally have a child who was just like him. A family who understood him. The pieces were beginning to fall into place at last.
So I’ve seen the idea floating around the web that Val could be counted as some sort of ghost hybrid too.
and it got me thinking, what if i mash it together with an other fan idea in in the fandom like ghostly guardians.
like we seen Dani and Danny get ghostly adopted before.
But if Val also count shouldn't she also get a guardian ghost?
Poor Danny probably has to explain the whole thing to her in phantom form when their guardians meet up. and the whole time Val’s guardian ghost holding their feisty new daughter back from fight everyone and everything.
but simultaneous doting over how much spirit she has.
So I recently stumbled upon the Danny Phantom Phandom on Archive of Our Own after reading a few Supernatural/DP crossovers. And now I have a small story idea/prompt if anyone wants to give it a try?
(Honestly I should write it myself but it’s literally been over a decade since I watched Danny Phantom, it was a childhood staple. But I feel like someone who is more recent and immersed in the fandom would be better at this).
Sam and Tucker looked away from Danny’s fight with Skulker (to give the ghost credit, he still persisted in fighting his prey over three years later) to stare at the green-skinned ghost woman floating beside them.
“What do you mean?” Sam asked, an edge to her voice.
“Not all deceased spirits end up in the Ghost Zone,” the ghost-woman allowed, her voice airy, “and not every creature in the Ghost Zone was once human.” She hadn’t stopped looking at Danny since she arrived, her dark blue eyes wide and hungry-looking. “But that boy will take his rightful place among us, someday. Of that I have no doubt.”
After reading @idiot-cheesehead-archenemy 's theory on half ghosts, I'm wondering, could their human halves fuse with other ghosts?
They can be possesed, as showed in the episode with Poindexter, so can they fuse with other ghosts? What would the relations between them be? Can their ghost halves fuse with another human?
Ideas for Halfa Trio AUs with Identical Ghost Form.
Idea 1
The trio's ghost forms are literally identical, which is good for keeping a secret identity and mildly confusing for everyone else. And I do mean completely identical, with no distinguishing features, not even minor ones, but their minds are in no way affected, and while they don't have different powers they can become more skilled at using one or another power.
They might clarify that there are three of them. Maybe. Eventually.
(Once someone figures out duplication they go from confusing to headache inducing. Particularly for their enemies.)
Idea 2
The trio literally share a ghost form. So only one of them can go ghost at once. This is fantastic for a secret identity and very confusing for literally everyone else.
(The ghost-zone gossip would be wild. They all agree that there is a teenaged half-ghost and what they look like as a ghost. They agree on almost literally nothing else.
Vlad does not know what is going on. He knows Danny is half-ghost, he has no idea that the others are too. How can his ghostly employees really be this bad at identifying human teenagers?)
They can probably all use the same amount of ghost-powers while in human-form that Danny can in canon, so they aren't completely human even when a different member of the trio is being their ghost.
Idea 3
The trio only have one ghost form between them but more then one of them can go ghost at once. This doesn't generate them an extra ghost-form nor does it merge their minds, no, it just gives them the worst case of backseat driving.
It's great for keeping a secret identity and for keeping their human-sides from getting damaged in a fight but it can also be very distracting. Plus it is often more useful for some of them to stay in human-form and assist which ever one of them is in ghost-form.
(The ghosts probably know what's going on here? The ghost-child is three human children and sometimes they are all the ghost-child and sometimes just one of them is the ghost-child, you can tell by if the ghost-child is arguing with themself or if one of the ghost-child's human-forms is attacking at the same time as the ghost-child.
The humans may or may not think Phantom has some kind of mental problem. Depends on how well known it is that Phantom has arguments with themself and sometimes doesn't know things one day that they knew the day before.
Vlad does know, but it took him an embarrassingly long time to figure out.)
Ghost Form
I'm thinking their ghost has pupil-less blue eyes with chin length hair and an androgynous build but I haven't settled on more then that.
