Is Johnathan datable? Asking for a friend.
Even tho this is not an ask-blog, receiving this ask made me laugh and reminded me of the days I drew the answers. I took the opportunity there~

Link Click's Time Telling and Story Travel
I love Link Click writers for focusing on the story as more than a time travel narrative, and showing us the naked humanity that strives to change, that simply choosing to be helpful is the right thing to do, whether it affects you well or badly is an inquiry for later.
They are saying that you/we don't need time travel to help.
I mean, look at this series villain, it's rumours, is the biggest villain of all.
And the story doesn't take a dunk on time travel, it is using it to make us realise that time travel to do the right thing equals doing the right thing in present.
Watching Link Click is giving me major Elizabeth Bowen and H. G. Wells vibes, especially Bowen's ''In the Heat of Day'' novel, it's an investigation/spy story, where time moves backward as the story progresses, the novel is a play as well, by using and referencing Hamlet. Link Click s2ep9 is that too, it's an anime and a play, the story is going backwards as time progresses, and ofc, the investigation part.
Most importantly, the novel encourages you to look for the truth, avoid rumours, and doing so you are doing the right thing. And by using multi-literature canons the author is saying that reading literature is one way to find the truth and do good. We can look at the anime's meta-message like this, using multi-media -anime and play-to showcase how powerful art and literature and anime can be as it helps you/us that we can be good, and do good.
So just found out where all the hamlet references come from...
Henry Irving. Who acted as many Shakespeare characters, including Hamlet.
Bram Stoker was his manager for decades.
Pls wwasnt there a Post abt a Performance of Hamlet where there are two hamlets, his moral and Idk revenge side and every Monolog is a Dialog and the characters ignore BadHamlet at the beginning but start to interact w/ him more and more till theres only revenge hamlet

STFD: Dwayne Powers
Listen, Dwayne Powers is the Most Extra Dramatic nancy drew villain of all time. Like, I don’t care what your other opinions on him are, no one else delivers that level of StyleTM, that level of pizzazz - the panache and flair he provides in literally everything he does.
Undercover costume complete with absurd wig-beard? Creepy gait he switched to use when acting as Owen? The fact that his alternate persona was an anagram of his name? Just Outstanding. 10/10 stars. I’m convinced he did a character profile for Owen at some point and had developed an entire TragicBackstoryTM for him. He was probably disappointed he never got to bring it up.
The absolutely best line delivery of all time? When he dramatically interrupts Lillian saying “really? I thought it was..” to yell “DWAYNE POWERS?!?” Just. Wow. The suspense. The overall shock value. He waited for his moment and when it arrived - he DELIVERED. Melodramatic as frick. 12/10 stars.
He’s quoting Hamlet in his final dialogue. “Words, words, words,” is literally a line Hamlet uses to aggravate/ pick-on / mess with Polonius. Also, I’m pretty sure some of his other sentences in that dialogue are parts of different hamlet soliloquies. Which - just - he’s clearly a DramaKidTM poster child who missed his chance in the acting biz and is using his criminal activities to let his talents shine. Unnecessarily Extra. 15/10 stars and a tony award
The fact that he holds on to his grudge on Nancy for literal years and crafts the most Extra plot of all time? Priceless.
