Ingredients: 200g pasta of choice. 1 cup leftover ham, diced. 1 cup frozen peas. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh parsley for garnish optional.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to cook the pasta until it is al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside. Save 1/2 cup of the pasta water. Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat. For about one minute, until the garlic smells good, add the minced garlic. Toss in the diced ham and cook for another two to three minutes, until the ham is lightly browned. Mix in the frozen peas, and cook for about two minutes, until everything is warm. Add the cooked pasta and the pasta water that you saved to the pan. Add everything to the bowl and mix it well. Grate some Parmesan cheese over the pasta and toss it again so that the cheese melts and covers all of the pasta. Add pepper and salt to taste. Add fresh parsley as a garnish if you like. Enjoy while hot!
