Pyramid Pose, aka Parsvottonasana, is a deep hamstring and spinal stretch. I usually sequence this pose into the very beginning of my classes, as it's a good indicator of where one is in their flexibility, and can show where or what they may want to concentrate on as class progresses. Make sure to square the hips as much as possible and press down firmly through the balls of the feet, using each inhale to lengthen, and each exhale to settle into the new space.
