I apsolutely HATE Hanako, which is why he's in my top five favorite characters!! I apsolutely love him as a character, but hate how the fandom treats him and the actions he does, how people in the series and fandom excuse his actions. I love the way his interactions are written, and his backstory is interesting and i love how twisted he is, i love him for his character, but he is so frustrating, look Anon between you and me, I love horrible characters that are intriguing and are good liars and him killing his brother is such a detail i wouldn't have expected. and I have always loved the dynamic of Hanako and Kou, and they're so silly and the angst is well.....
aren't they amazing???? and how they both wanna protect Nene and they're just amazing okay???how could you not love HanaKou? and hating a character doesn't mean you can't enjoy a ship with them, hating a character doesn't mean it'll stop you from enjoying a lot of things.
