Thinking about “the moment” for Bradley and Jake. The one where they knew the other was it for them and that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

For Jake it happened one night after work. Bradley had spent so much time and effort cooking dinner for him, which was already incredibly sweet and thoughtful. But the moment came when he sat at the counter, watching as Bradley quietly hummed a song to himself, swaying his hips a bit to the tune while wearing Jake’s burnt orange Texas Longhorns shorts. For some reason, in that moment, Jake knew that this adorable, loving dork was the man he wanted to spend his life with.

For Bradley it happened in the middle of the night when he had woken up due to nature calling. After relieving himself, he slid back into bed. In his sleep, Jake had rolled over and wrapped his arms around Bradley, pulling him as close as he could. Bradley’s heart was already filling with adoration, but then he heard Jake mumble in his sleep “I love you, darlin’.” While he’d already thought about making Jake his husband, that moment sealed the deal. He knew that Jake was the only one he’d ever want for the rest of his life.

I present to you my newest headcanons:

Jake is left-handed while Bradley is both-handed. Bradley originally thought he's right-handed, broke his arm in middle school, with a bit of practice he found out he can write equally well with his left hand.

Ice is right-handed and Mav is left-handed. Having grown up at a time in which kids were taught to write with their right hand regardless of their actual handedness, Mav has a crappy handwriting with his right hand but it's equally bad with his left hand because he's never learned it properly and never bothered to practice writing with his left hand later on in life.

I feel like Bradley is very possessive in the sense that he always has to be holding Jake’s hand or have an arm wrapped around him or be sitting with their thighs pressed together when they’re in public. He is Jake’s man and Jake is his man and he loves him more than anything in the world, so damn right he’s gonna make sure that everybody knows they belong to each other!🩵

At night Bradley snores at the volume of an air raid siren and Jake hogs all the blankets.

Bradley frequently wakes up shivering and looks over to see that Jake has made himself into a blanket burrito, his blonde hair sticking out from under the covers as he sleeps peacefully.

Jake frequently wakes up to Bradley’s snoring, which is louder than the tornado sirens back home in Texas. He always has to nudge Bradley’s side to get him to stop long enough to go back to sleep.

Neither one is actually that bothered by the other’s unconscious actions, but they sure love to give each other shit about it when they awake all tangled up in the morning!

One of my favorite hangster headcanons is that Jake hates Bradley’s Hawaiian shirts with a passion at first, but slowly warms up to them when they finally get back together. And though Jake refuses to ever admit it, Bradley knows it’s true, and he constantly gives Jake shit about it
