Day 1 of 30 Days Korean vocabulary challenge is animals.

vocabulary lesson: singularity by bts

무언가 = something

깨지는 = breaking

소리 = sound

문득 = suddenly

잠에서 깨 = wake from sleep

낯설음  = unfamiliarity

가득한 = full

귀를 = ears

막아 보지만 = try to close them but...

잠엘 들지 못해  = can’t fall asleep

목이 = throat

자꾸 = keeps

아파와 = hurting

감싸 보려하지만 = try to cover it

나에겐 목소리가 없어 = I don’t have a voice

오늘도 그 소릴 들어 = today I hear that sound again

또 울리고 있어 = it’s ringing again

그 소리가 = that sound

이 = this

얼어붙은 = frozen

호수 = lake

또 = again

금이 가 = cracked

그 호수에 = into that lake

내가 날 버렸잖아 = I dumped myself

내 목소릴 = my voice

널 위해 = for you

묻었 잖아 = I buried it

겨울호수 = winter lake

위로 = over

두꺼운 = thick

얼음이 = ice

얼었네 = has formed

잠시 들어간 꿈 속에도 = in the dream I quickly went into

괴롭히는 = agonizing

환상통은 = phantom pain

여전해 = still / remains the same

나는 날 잃은 걸까 = have I lost myself

아님 널 얻은  걸까 = or have I gained you

나 문득 호수로 달려가 = I suddenly run into the lake

그 속에 내 얼굴 있어 = and inside is my face

부탁해 = I beg you

아무 말도하지마 = don’t say a word

입을 막으려 = to cover the mouth

손을 뻗어 보지만 = my hand reaches out

결국엔 언젠가 = sooner or later

봄이 와 = spring comes

얼음들은 = the ice

녹아 내려 흘러가 = will melt and flow away

Tell me, 내 목소리가 가짜라면 = if my voice isn’t real

날 버리지 말았어야했는지 = if I shouldn’t have thrown myself away

Tell me 고통조차 가짜라면 = if even this pain isn’t real

그 때 내가 무얼해야했는지 = what should I have done back then?

vocabulary lesson: paradise by bts

낙원 = paradise 

마라톤 = marathon 

삶은 길어 = life is long

천천히 해 = go slowly 

그 끝엔 꿈의 = at the end of  that dream

낙원이 가득해 = full of paradise 

하지만 = but 

진짜 = really 

세상은 = the world

약속과는 달라 = different from what was promised

우린 달려야 해 = we need to run 

밟아야 해 = need to step on others

신호탄 = flare 

쏘면 = when it blasts ( from the verb 쏘다)

너 = you

목적지 = destination

없어 = don’t have / doesn’t exist

아무 = any

풍경 = landscape

숨이 턱까지 넘칠 때 = when you’re running out of breath

멈춰서도 = to even stop

괜찮아 = it’s okay

아무 이유도 모르는 채 = without any reason

달릴 필요 없어 = you don’t need to run 꿈이 없어도 = to not even have a dream

괜찮아 = it’s okay 

잠시 행복을 느낄 네 순간들이 있다면 = if you have moments you feel happy 이젠 목적도 모르는 채 = without knowing where to go

달리지 않아 = don’t run

네가 내뱉는 모든 호흡은 = all of the air breathe out 

이미 낙원에 = is already in paradise 우린 꿈을 남한테서 꿔 = we dream from others 빚처럼 = like a debt

위대해져야 한다 배워 = we learn that we must become great / remarkable 빛처럼 = like a light

너의 dream = your dream 사실은 짐 = is actually baggage / a burden

미래만이 꿈이라면 = if only the future was a dream

내가 어젯밤 침대서 꾼 건 뭐? = what was the dream I had last night in bed?

꿈의 이름이 달라도 괜찮아 = it’s okay if your dreams are different / have a different name

다음달에 = next month 노트북 사는 거 = buying a notebook (laptop in korean)

아니면 = or 

그냥 먹고 자는 거 = just eating and sleeping

암것도 안 하는데 = without doing anything 돈이 많은 거 = having alot of money

꿈이 뭐 거창한 거라고 = what’s so great about dreams?

그냥 아무나 되라고 = just become who you want   뭐가 크건 작건 = whether it’s big or small

그냥 너는 너잖어 = you’re just doing you

꿈을 꾸는 게 때론 무섭네 = sometimes dreaming is scary 그냥 이렇게 살아가는 게 = just living like this 살아남는 게 이게 나에겐 작은 꿈인데 = just surviving is a small dream to me

꿈을 꾸는 게 꿈을 쥐는 게 = dreaming, holding onto that dream

숨을 쉬는 게 때론 버겁네 = breathing, sometimes these things are hard

누군 이렇게 누군 저렇게 산다면서 = this person did this, this person did that

세상은 내게 욕을 퍼붓네 = the world tells me while bashing me 세상은 욕할 자격이 없네 = the world has no right to bash you

꿈을 꾸는 법이 무엇인지 = what is the law of dreams? 

가르쳐 준 적도 없기에 = no one ever taught us

꾸며 낸 꿈이기에 =  because it’s a made-up dream

눈물의 잠꼬대 = a sleep talk with tears / tearful sleep talk

악몽에서 깨워내 = wake up from your nightmare 널 위해 = for yourself

이젠 매일 웃어보자고 저 낙원에서 = now smile every day in your paradise 

어리석은 경주를 끝내 = stop this foolish race

다 꾸는 꿈 따윈 없어도 돼 = you dont need to have a dream that everyone has 너를 이루는 모든 언어는 이미 낙원에 = alll of the words that make you who you are is paradise

우주 = universe 우릴 위해 = on our behalf, for us 움직였어 = moved 조금의 = … even a litte bit 어긋남조차 없었어 = without missing… 너와 내 행복은 = our happiness 예정됐던걸 = was planned
