The Cleaners
Eternal You Moritz Riesewick, Hans Block Germany/USA, 2024 ★★★ equal parts infuriating and appaling, this doc starts almost as propaganda (which had me real worried) but it's only the first minutes -- then it starts revealing everyone's true intentions (no matter how hard they're trying to hide it)
I don't believe in heaven or hell but not even I would dare to try to cynically exploit real people's real pain in such an outrageous manner. everyone deals with grief differently but trying to profit from that is just disgusting. and all the tech bros (which are either fat or bald, unsurprisingly) reek of rotten ideals and interests.
also not surprising is that most of the users are religious (some more than others) which automatically turn them into gullible customers, which is two bads getting mixed up (the one not being able to let go and the one looking to make some quick buck).
the korean part SEEMS to be the NICER one but it's just a tech demo, in the end.
nasty, nasty stuff. I can't wait for this part of AI to crash burn, born figuratively and literally.

Dazu zählt, also, was sie, die Rechner, nicht können, zum Beispiel Bilder filtern. […] Der Beitrag The Cleaners erschien zuerst auf tongues of destruction. http://dlvr.it/Qhpsj3
