People don't know how to create sexual tension with 'dominant' men do they? Not even the female writers.

I don't think it's that hard? I mean, my prose in a scene like that would probably be bad, but at least I think I could get across the intended vibe of the scene - at the very least not make it look like sexual assault or coercion >>.>>

Like this horrible book keeps having the 'love interest' take violently the female character by the throat and smash her head against a wall. It always comes across as a violent outburst out of anger. Big nope.

But you can make holding someone's throat in foreplay sexy.

Like I saw Jake do it. Well for one he doesn't hold her. He only hovers his hand near her neck, maybe lightly touches it while slowly pushing forward once she reply with 'defiance (i.e enthusiasm)'.

The whole point of ~tension~ is that he teases it, he doesn't actually do it. But if she escalate the tension/flirts back/reacts positively, he pushes a little more forward.
