Haruka might have been just a little desperate to shed some positive light onto his senpai's otherwise-dreary situation. Harsh hospital lighting did his friend no favors in masking the pale skin and groggy eyes of someone returning from a good hour or two in intensive care.

To her credit, Ayano was doing a commendable job of acting as though nothing was different.

( perhaps, in her perspective, there was nothing to act differently about. )

CALMLY  ,  WITHOUT  A  CONCERN  IN  THE  WORLD  does  the  medusa  hold  a  field  mouse  in  her  hand  ,  thumb  to  the  back  of  it’s  head  &  fingers  curled  around  it’s  little  body  to  keep  it  secure  .

‘  onee-chan  ,  onee-chan ---  i  found  this  little  guy  in  your  bedroom  !  is  he  your  pet  ? ’

hopefully  ayano  isn’t  too  squeamish  --  because  marry  is  holding  it  dangerously  close  to  the  scarfed  hero’s  face  .
