reposting old art for the sake of fall and post decor.

I put in my 2 weeks notice at work. (more like 3 weeks). Kinda heartbreaking. I was actually kinda excited about quitting at first but I'm actually easily emotional and everything makes me cry. Now I cant sleep because I feel perpetually guilty. I had a hard time the last job I quit too. As many complaints as I had about my job, in actuality quite a few girls on my team were fabulous coworkers and we teamed up really well. It does make your day so much better when your crew is working with you. We also recently hired a new girl too, who I was really excited to be working because so far she's been such an amazing hire. I hope they can find somebody else who wants to work and was as flexible as I tried to be.

we will be moving to Texas right after thanksgiving. So simultaneously it feels like we have plenty of time and also not enough time. The week before the movers get here will be an absolute disaster. I'm not packing up anything until then. We don't own that much stuff but my art supply collection has grown exceptionally large and I've never had to transport that sort of thing that long a distance before. Besides that I have some breakable things Im slightly worried about damaging as well driving that far a distance. I don't know how long we will be in Texas for as my husband wanted to retire at the 20 year mark and he has about a year to go til that point. Something tells me the army wont let him go though.

We have a lot of traveling coming up in general.

Going out of town for my birthday on the 27th and then going back to moms for thanksgiving and then we are going to the inlaws in Arizona for Christmas. Finding boarding for my dog in a state we don't live in has been nearly impossible and scary. My inlaws are buying us themepark tickets for a california trip too for christmas and I can guarantee you my husband is going to be highstrung and I already warned him he isn't going to handle that stress well.

The annual apple picking tradition at @appleridgeorchards continues! 🇭🇺 Nem vagy egy sketchbooker. Soha nem éreztem, hogy az én stílusommal nagyon összeegyeztethető lenne, és nem is hiányzott. Nem rég viszont felfedeztem egy régi füzetet nagyon-nem-akvarellhez-való lapokkal, és valami bizarr fellángolás folytán elkezdtem bele festeni. Nem rajzoltam előre a mintát, és nem izgatott, hogy mi lesz belőle. Már csak azért is jól esett, mert az utóbbi időben beszippantottak a grafikus munkák és a videóvágás, és nagyon keveset tudtam festegetni. Az időbe sem fért igazán bele, de főleg agyilag voltam nagyon máshol. Szóval ez az elvárások nélküli mázolás, ez JÓ DOLOG. Lehet, hogy erre való egy sketchbook... . . . 🇬🇧 I’ve never been a sketchbook person. I never felt that it could work with my style and nor did I miss it. A couple of weeks ago, however, I found this old notebook – with pages that are definitely NOT suitable for watercolor. By some temporary madness, no doubt, I started painting in it, and this is what happened. I did not pre-draw anything, nor did I care what the outcome looked like. It was an ugly sketchbook after all, and I couldn’t use any of the illustrations even if I wanted to, the paper buckled too much. And painting without expectations was great.
