It took me literally forever to get through these last ten games because I was too preoccupied speedrunning Hades. So reaching this milestone was a crawl, but I finally made it: here are my rankings for games #91-100.
1. Wandersong - I love a good adventure game, and this one was cute, charming, and unique.
2. Changeling - Pretty magic boys :o But in all seriousness, this is a really fantastically written visual novel and I couldnât get enough.
3. Beglitched - Iâm so surprised by how much I enjoyed this game, considering how outside of my comfort zone cyberpunk hacking games are.
4. Haque -Â I played this game for about a week before I suddenly got very bad at it. I think most roguelikes follow a pattern with me where I play them obsessively for a while, slowly improving until all of a sudden I stop feeling invested and my skill ceiling plummets. Anyway. This is still a very cool game.
5. The White Door - A definite improvement over Cube Escape. It actually managed to speak to me in a personal way.
6. KIDS - God, I played this so long ago I barely remember it. But I put it in B-tier after I played it so I guess that means I liked it for what it was!
7. Vignettes - The pattern of âslowly rotate object until it becomes another objectâ got kind of samey after a while, but the game was still very pleasant and thankfully, doesnât overstay its welcome.
8. Lennaâs Inception - This might have been a little higher if only I could have beaten the final boss. I donât mind tough bosses in a tough game, but this one was asking a level of effort and skill that the game had simply not conditioned me to expect from it.
9. Dandara - I enjoy a tricky platformer sometimes, but I think Dandara came around at a time when that just wasnât what I was looking for. Itâs definitely a great game but I couldnât get myself through it.
10. Pendragon - Maybe if I had kept playing into the higher difficulties I might have started to find this more engaging, but for the most part I found the combat here too quick and bare-bones.
