Is there a….. Secret society that likes to eat. Harpy eggs? And would pay top dollar (or shilling) for them?
Hmm...I'm pretty sure humans would feel uncomfortable eating harpy eggs even with how poorly they view them. Humans do not consider harpies to be animals, but a lesser intelligent species, so eating harpy eggs would still be viewed as eating babies. But, just like how there are likely cannibals out there eating dubious things there may be a few humans willing to eat harpy eggs especially under dire circumstances, but it would definitely not be considered acceptable fare at any human restaurant. The amount of magia in a harpy egg would also do bad things to a human's insides considering humans are not built to process magia through their bodies well. Even southerners who have developed a high tolerance to magia would likely get sick from eating a harpy egg.
