Harrow is an unreliable narrator because she just gave herself a lobotomy, Nona is an unreliable narrator because she was quite literally born yesterday, but Gideon is an unreliable narrator because she is consistently not telling us important details about how she feels about people. She tells us that she hates harrow and wants her to die, but then when harrow is actually in danger she's searching the whole house to help her. She's talking about how she "wants to beat harrow up" but then side comments on she won't because harrow's "eyelashes are trembling with rage"! Don't even get me started on the "evil, loathsome, bad teens" who she tells us she has hostility with, but they seem to trust her more than anyone else in Canaan House...

hi tlt ppl !! it’s been a bit since I’ve done fanart, I’m really happy to be back (: This was inspired by one of my first gideon drawings that I made in 2024, below! I’d been considering a redraw of it for a while and when I was planning that, the composition of the 2024 one reminded me almost of a playing card, which is where I got the idea. I’m making this a series with all the main characters, it’ll take a while, but I hope you stick around for it 🙇‍♀️🩵 I am looking into making actual card sized prints of this w a designed back so stay tuned for that :)

do you think harrow will recognise how loved she was when she’s finally conscious in her own body? do you think she will be able to tell she’s been fed 3 steady meals a day (no matter with how much resistance) and was washed regularly, got a healthy amount of sleep, was told to exercise and was on a whole the most taken care of she’d ever been in her whole life?

nevertheless at the hands of the person who was trying to slaughter her and two people who technically don’t exist anymore
