He's just less of an all-powerful king of Hell and adversary to G-d (because to suggest anyone can be an adversary to G-d is heretical), and more if Saul Goodman was prosecuting you as a lawyer and could be fooled into missing his court date if you blew a horn outside his house every day of the month except the day before the court date and confused him.

Who was Lucifer before he became a fallen angel?

Nobody, Lucifer was never an angel, the name is the invention of Jerome after mistranslating a Hebrew word into Latin via Greek.

Lucifer in the Bible refers in fact to the King of Babylon, probably Nebuchadnezzar II. (Isaiah 14:4, 12)

You are likely thinking of Satan, but we don’t know his name, the Bible never tells us it. Satan isn’t a name, it’s a title, a Hebrew word that means resister or adversary. (Job chapters 1 and 2)

Why does the devil have three names?

We have no idea what the Devil's name is.

Satan is a title, from a Hebrew word that means resister, adversary. Devil is also a title, from a Greek word that means slanderer. The is a determiner used to point forward to a qualifying word or phrase. Lucifer is not and never was the Devil's name, that rather was a translation of a Hebrew word that means shining one.

Jerome, who translated the Hebrew scriptures into Latin, didn't speak Hebrew and his knowledge of the language was passable but not great; he inserted a Latin portmanteau, derived from two Latin words, lux and fer, light bringer, to make Lucifer, which is also the old Roman name for Venus, the morning star.

The Shining One in question was actually the king of Babylon, an ancient city in what is now Iraq, most likely Nebuchadnezzar II. (Isaiah 14:4, 12)

God did not see fit to record the name of the angel that came to be Satan.

Where did Lucifer come from in mythology?

A misunderstanding and mistranslation of Isaiah 14:12.

Lucifer is not Satan, it’s a mistranslation of a Hebrew word into a Latin one.

Jerome, responsible for the translation of the Hebrew Scriptures into Latin, did not speak Hebrew, and misunderstood the word הֵילֵ֣ל to be a proper name, which he translated into Latin, via Greek, as Light bringer, lux fer, and combined the two into a name, Lucifer.

Lucifer actually refers to the king of Babylon, most likely Nebuchadnezzar II, as that same chapter makes clear in verse 4.

I don’t know why but I have always imagined the Devil with Green eyes , seems like a logical eye color for him.
