I said I wasn't going to make my own blog........ but I changed my mind.

Hello........ I'm........ not old enough to be King....... so you can call me Prince....... 14 years old (middle), he/they....... fictive of the King from In Stars And Time.

Before you follow...... remember that I'm a villain fictive..... just because I'm not an adult doesn't mean I'm a good person now..... and neither does having more exposure to the "other side of the story."

Why does the devil have three names?

We have no idea what the Devil's name is.

Satan is a title, from a Hebrew word that means resister, adversary. Devil is also a title, from a Greek word that means slanderer. The is a determiner used to point forward to a qualifying word or phrase. Lucifer is not and never was the Devil's name, that rather was a translation of a Hebrew word that means shining one.

Jerome, who translated the Hebrew scriptures into Latin, didn't speak Hebrew and his knowledge of the language was passable but not great; he inserted a Latin portmanteau, derived from two Latin words, lux and fer, light bringer, to make Lucifer, which is also the old Roman name for Venus, the morning star.

The Shining One in question was actually the king of Babylon, an ancient city in what is now Iraq, most likely Nebuchadnezzar II. (Isaiah 14:4, 12)

God did not see fit to record the name of the angel that came to be Satan.

finished this garland of knitted shapes today and strung it up in front of the window, which is also currently serving as my altar. making crafts as a devotional activity has been really therapeutic for me, even more so than crafting was before.
