[The Narcotics Crew vs. The Assassin Squad]
I think about it a lot, what stands counteract other stands. It goes without saying that the narcotics crew are insanely overpowered, but that does not mean they are invincible. It is without a doubt in my mind that conflict would arise between these two teams; the traitorous assassins hungry for the wealth and securty of the drug trade, and the close knit family-like unit of the Narcotics team forced to defend themselves.
So who is a good match for who?
Ghiaccio is the single most interesting counter to Kocaqi. Kocaqi’s stand does not require natural rainfall to activate, it can create rainfall by concentrating the humidity in the air into a rain cloud. But that is where White Album’s ability comes into play. It is not a difficult task for Ghiaccio to freeze water molecules, turning them either into solid or evaporating them into a thin mist, unable to coagulate into a rain cloud. Kocaqi would be completely helpess against White Album.
Night Bird Flying has the ability to track as well as it can spread its influence over a wide range. It is a young, volatile stand. Melone, however, is refined in his craft, knowing exaclty how to calculate the perfect homunculus and setting it loose on its target. The trouble with fighting Angelica is finding her. Seeing as NBF seems to possess infinite range, being able to find the user proves a challenge, and only Baby Face’s tracking ability provides the solution. However, we must consider whether Baby Face’s organic origins subjects it to the influence of Night Bird Flying. Can Baby Face hallucinate? Can it be filled with intense levels of dopamine to the point its heart gives out?
Vittorio vs. Illuso and Risotto Nero
Dolly Dagger works by capturing a reflection of the target and sending 70% of damage Vittorio recieves to said target. Now, let’s talk about that reflective surface. If the surface is so reflective that it can count as mirror-like, can Illuso possess it by entering the mirror world? Would that negate DD’s effect or would it mean Illuso takes all and any damage until he finally dies and is ejected from the mirror world?
Vittorio is the biggest problem for anyone, seeing as, so long as he can outlast you, you will always fall first. But that is so long as the reflection is captured. We also don’t know if Dolly Dagger needs to be held in order to activate. It could be tossed aside and still reflect the damage. We can also assume that it takes snapshots of the target, allowing Vittorio to plunge it into himself.
Then there is Risotto Nero, a skilled assassin but always one to take his time and learn. He may attempt to use his camoflauging skills to skulk on the sidelines and observe, only to realize Vittorio is breaking everything in sight and it is only a matter of time until Dolly Dagger picks up his reflection. He may be able to outlast Vittorio, but the kid had endurance. But that begs the question of whether or not Metallica can morph and distort the Dolly Dagger blade. It is, after all, a bound stand. It is an actual dagger that Vittorio holds, a rusty iron dagger, and if the blade can morph so that it no longer can hold a reflective surface, or perhaps fractures to capture multiple reflections, thus spreading out the damage, that Risotto may be able to outlast him.
Massimo is actually the weakest member of the narcotics crew. His stand is the most important, but it only works in range. Manic Depression has a speed of A which is not all that impressive. And without his stand, he is useless. He has no fighting skills of his own. Even if he were to inject himself with the serum, he can only do so for a brief few seconds, and it likely leaves his body weak and vulnerable. He managed to hang on for so long with Fugo and Sheila because he had the intention to die, nothing left to live for with his team dead. He just wanted revenge.
That being said, let’s see the match ups.
Formaggio vs. Massimo - Formaggio is likely the only one Massimo stands a chance with due to Manic Depression having Speed A while Little Feat has Speed B, and if MD can get in the first hit, that’s game.
Illuso vs. Massimo - Like, Fugo, trapping Massimo without his stand renders him helpless. Illuso can probably knock his teeth out with one punch, and it’s not like that tiny baby of a stand can do much on its own.
Prosciutto vs. Massimo - Grateful Dead has a hell of a range and just leaving Massimo to rot, unable to move, will very easily defeat him. Prosciutto just needs to mind his own aging in the process
Pesci vs. Massimo - Honestly, Pesci is likely the best match. Beach Boy has a very good range and is accurate when it knows its target. Massimo would be unable to escape his heart ripped out.
Melone vs. Massimo - A lover’s quarrel, eh? Massimo might have a chance, seeing as if Manic Depression can get the first hit in, the organic nature of the Baby Face homonculus would come apart at the seams. But, if Massimo fails that hit, it’s lights out.
Ghiaccio vs. Massimo - White Album has good range. Even if Massimo injected himself with MD’s serum for hand-to-hand combat, White Album cannot be penetrated without penetrating the Achilles’ Heel with a small point of entry.
Risotto vs. Massimo - Risotto can pull Massimo apart from the seams with Metallica and there is not much Manic Depression can do for him, other than maybe numb the pain.
TL:DR - Massimo is a weak bitch and could be killed very easily without his team to protect him and Angelica is the true MVP of the narcotics crew.
