"See? It looks great on you!" Her laugh was a messy giggle, the cocktail already working it's magic, making Renas cheeks flush as she closed the cap on her red lipstick. That gave Hayato an idea.
"Okay, new game. If I win, I'll kiss you all over and you're not allowed to wipe it off until tomorrow." His voice was half a whisper, a faint note of rum in his breath. He really didn't care much for the red lipstick she put on him. He was a man of his words and he had lost their last little competition. This was her prize. Him in her red lipstick.
Her cheeks flushed more and she seemed to deliberate before she nodded.
"Deal." She said confidentally and he was unable to hold back a grin. Oh he got her now.
"You're on!"

Soooo I got great news! I got a sort of job offer from the theater I work at to take over a new childrens group, which I will be paid for. It's not much, but this is the first time I will be able to make money on my own without my mothers financial influence. So I decided to celebrate by treating myself to some art!
I traced a picture from a Manga I am currently infatuated with (My Love Story with Yama-kun at Lvl 999) and while drawing it made me think of this scenario. Drunk, engaged Hayarena, spending a night in with drinks and little games. And yes I know I just talked about Rena cutting her hair, but the decision to add the rings was last minute and by then she already had long hair. In any case, Hayatos rings after his vongola gear upgrade are a bit hard to discern but I tried my best to come up with something. And yes, Rena is wearing the Igorevich ring as a memento of her family and past.
I never posted it on time but it's pride month meaning it's indulge myself month, so here have some Hayarena Reborn! Now! AU
After not being able to give Hayato her chocolate on Valentines day (as far as she knows) she still hopes that on White day she might receive something. So she does her best to make herself look especially dashing.
Making sure her girls are especially defined, putting on make up, some jewelery, prettying up her uniform- It was supposed to be the day she wows him. But of course things do not go her way. As soon as she gets to school she is halted by Kusakabe for violating SEVERAL dresscode rules and is being taken aside to fix herself. By then she is already late to greet Gokudera. She had to severely "downgrade" by taking most of her jewelery off and making her school uniform look more standart. So she hopes for a chance during lunch time.
She prepared a a nice lunch for hayato, all she has to do is meet up with Gokudera and give it to him. She still looks good, she still got this. But of course, she doesn't account for Masha, who sees her chance to expertly and sneakily cause havoc. As a girl is about to empty a bucket out a the window, she is reprimanded toi properly empty it in the washroom. But Masha manages to throw a baseball towards the girls hand so she loses hold of it and the bucket empties out on the students beneath the window. Rena isn't the only one hit but she def gets quite dowsed in dirty water. Before Tsuna andd co can turn their heads Masha quickly clings to Gokudera and turns him away, making sure that in her time of need Rena is still alone.
Aaaah, I've already had enough of today...
"Dima." Immideatly on call, he appears and puts a coat around her before he picks her up and disappears, bringing her back home to their apartment. She showers, puts on her most comfy clothes and just falls onto bed. Dima is on full alert and while Rena rests he catches Sasha before the guy can bother Rena. When he sees Gokudera approach he at first also thinks of stopping him but then doesn't. Gokudera rings the bell and Rena, curious how someone could even do that with Dima on lookout, gets up to open, only to immideatly feel emberassed, since she looks so... plain. Still, Gokudera gives her a piece of candy, saying that his sister wouldn't leave him alone until he gave her something. It's just a curtesy, nothing more. Still. it means the world to Rena.

Highschool Au LorAva
I love "Nothing bad ever hapened" AUs And I usually don't min d Highschool AUs either because I don't have to think of adult troubles. So one that I something think of is an AU where Ava is the student council vice president and an absolute picture book honors student that suddenly has to deal with this new student that kicks him off the leaderboards in everything, while being a really difficult person. I love enemies to lovers and I love delinquent + honor student stories, so of course this is a given with these two. Two more ups: Nothing bad ever happened to the twins and Asuna is alive!

Squad 4 in Namimori aka Reborn! Now! AU
While this is also an AU featuring Rena, it's mostly about Squad 4 becoming recurring characters in Namimori. All of them take on covers: Ava as a girl in Tsunas class, Lorenzo as a highschool student, Ser as the Coach for the BAsketball club and Leo as a guard and school security. It's just fun to imagine Ava trying to come up with schemes to murder Yamamoto, Ryohei trying to get Leo to coach the Boxing club, Lorenzo having to deal with a really annoying rich girl that tries to court him and Ser has to deal with conflicting feelings regarding his cover story and a girl in the girls basketball club called "Asuna".

HayaRena Ai no Scenario (I didn't wanna draw something for this)
Inspired by this song I always wanted to write an AU for Hayato and Rena and -drumroll please- G and a woman he meets after Giotto flees italy. Side A is Hayato and Rena being friends and in love ever since they were little, but Hayato is nothing but a street child while Rena is a noble woman engaged to a horrible abusive man. Eventually Hayatp whisks her away. Side B is set after Giotto left italy and asked G to take care of what they build up. G returns to his hometown where he meets a married woman who is secretly being deceived and cheated on by a mafiosi. She has no idea of this. Not exactly happy that another family has set their camp in THEIR (G and Giottos) hometown he eventually frees her from a terrible fate that her "husband" had planned for her and basically "wins" back the town, starting to seriously court her and eventually starting a family together.

LorAva Mermaid AU
Since I had planned to do more for this in MerMAY I will keep it short. Ava is merfolk, a blue shark aligned predator who gets captured by accident by a fishing boat. A boat Lor is on. Seeing as the creature was only an accident he releases Ava again albeit not unharmed. Still Ava somehow understands that Lore saved him and becomes interested, following the boat more often, everytime he gets captured, he gets released by Lor. OIne day though Lor is not on the boat and Ava gets caught again and sold to the nearby circus where he is set up for show. Due Lorenzo trying to save and release him back into the ocean.

Asuna lives AU
Not much to say here. I did trace this official art though because I thought it would be cute! Asuna survives the shot. Ser never becomes a mafiosi, Leo neither. Ser goes on to go pro as a basketball player, Leo becomes a mute soccer player and everything is fine with nothing bad ever happening. This really is just "Ser and Asuna can be together".

The only K Project entry featuring a genderbend version of Lina that became full yandere for Eric. Eric has to tread very carefully. Lin is still his family and dear to him and made sure that Eric would survive anything Hikawa throws at him. He loves Lin, but he also knows how fragile Lins mental state is and how ready for violence he is when it comes to Eric.

2- Renas phone with screensaver and background
Rena always has notifications for her theater groupchat and an app that alerts her of planetary alignments. Girl is someone who always has 19 notifications and popups but rarely deals with all of them because she keeps them up as a reminder. I didn't wanna draw it but she also has her homescreen set to a big calender where she keeps track of rehersals and performances.
8- Renas favourite item
A musicbox her grandmother gifted her before she passed. It plays two tunes. Tschaikovskies Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies and Tschaikovskies Swan Lake theme that can be switched between by pushing one of two buttons. She keeps it hidden in a box, but sometimes when she is alone takes it out. Dimitri used to sometimes wind up the musicbox when he noticed she couldn't sleep and it always helped her calm down.
9- One of Renas jewelery
A small pendant Hayato bought for her at the culture festival when she noticed she was too short on cash. Since it was also the night they had their first kiss and began dating she holds it very dear, even if technically she gave him the money back. The thought counts.

1. does your f/o have any special nicknames for you? what are they? do you have a favorite?
Gokudera isn't exactly super openly affectionate or romantic. He is pragmatic and when he is romantic it is a rare, but genuine moment just between them. While he doesn't have a special nickname, he does sometimes call Rena "tesoro" (itl. treasure) and has refered to her as a sun or glowing star, though never to her face.
2. do you and your f/o share any hobbies? what are they? do you see one another as rivals, collaborators, something else?
Rena and Hayato are competitive spirits and often get into little competitions with each other that usually hold either no stakes but their pride, or chores and small gifts. It's never harsh enough that Dera becomes seriously upset over a loss (he actually really appreciates that she can give him a run for his money), but it's also never completely trivial. These competitions can range from who gets to a place first, to directly facing off in a video or card game (especially with poker and other games where you have to keep your reactions in check Rena usually has the upper hand due to her knowledge in acting and directing, being able to pick up on the subtlest of changes in Gokuderas demeanor, who still has a hard time keeping his emotions in check).
Interestingly enough when it comes to hobbies they diverge a bit. Rena loves to be creative, her work at the theater is incredibly fullfilling to her, so she spends a lot of time going to see different plays and reads new pieces. Hayato is also very creative, but his creativity leans more towards the engineering and constructing. In that they are supportive with and towards each other, but don't necesarily always partake in the others interest. However they both are interested in the supernatural, with Rena being a scaredy cat that is mostly into mythology and the occult while Hayato is more interested in cryptids and extraterestrials. Hayato likes going ghost hunting or cryptid hunting and once in a while he can persuade Rena to tag along though not without promising up and down that he won't scare her on purpose and that he'll protect her if anything does happen.
One hobby they do participate in together is movie nights. They switch up who picks the movie and each one of them has a chance to veto a pick. They both enjoy watching all kinds of movies and talk about them, dissecting story, special and practical effects, character writing and acting, directing- they can both contribute their own knowledge to these talks which are even more enjoyable to them than the movies themselves.

Okay so I USED to have a playlist but I deleted it orz, tho there are two songs I def remember associating with this ship which is
Cinderblock Garden by All Time Low and Perfect by Topic and Ally Brooke
4. where are your favorite places to go with your f/o? what’s your favorite part of that place, or the time you spend together there?
When it comes to favourite places to be at then there come only 3 to mind. First is Renas apartment. It's a small 2 room flat with an open kitchen, a big livingroom with a narrow balcony and a small bedroom. It's cozy but not claustrophobic and Hayato stays over a few times. After a very eventful day it's nice to flop onto the sofa and watch a movie together.
Then there is one of Renas favourite cafes. It's in a sidestreet of the city, rather small and has a bit of a maritime country-chic flair with exceptionally good coffee and cake. They don't usually house big groups or many people so it never feels cramped and or overwhealming when it comes to the surounding noise.
Last but definitely not least is the westpark. It's close to the Residence where the Neo Vongola stay in italy and is often place of performances by Renas theater group Mosaico. It's a nice small park with one half of the park being mostly greenspace for people to chill on and the other being a bit more groomed, layed out and romantic with benches and grenery tunnels.

In general: anywhere where it's not too full and too loud is a nice place for them to hang out.

The festival is in full swing. After weeks of hard preparation and last minute planning the weekend long festival in the little district had gone into overdrive. It's late in the evening already. The Squad 4 members, except for one of them were already drunk. Leo was half passed out, Ava ready to follow him any second, as Lorenzo leaned the other against him and Sergey was still or again back on the dancefloor, swaying and yodeling, either drunk from the alcohol or the atmosphere.
After all their preparation, Tsunas plan had worked like a charm. And all thanks to everyones hard work. It's strange for Gokudera to be peaceful like this. Somehow he hadn't even really noticed how tense he was all this time. In Namimori it seemed easy. But here? Back in italy? Almost impossible. The alcohol from his wine was slowly taking effect and he half caught back into the conversation.
"--that's why it's so deeply engaging you know? Because despite the play not having a main character, you could still argue that she is the protagonist, especially with how it ends with her asserting herse- Are you listening?"
Cheeks flushing red Rena pouts, Hayato stares just a bit too long at her before he catches himself.
"No, sorry."
"I feel like an idiot ranting about theater again-"
He shakes his head.
"I like seeing you passionate."
Rena had just taken a sip of her glass when she suddenly chokes and starts coughing. Almost reflexively Hayato takes her glass away so she won't spill more and watches her struggle to regain composure.
She's cute.
Is that the alcohol speaking? No idea, he usually has a stronger tolerance. Eventually she catches herself more, groaning in displeasure, her whole face now red.
"Damn did- did I just catch that correctly? Did you just say something akin to a compliment?"
With a huff he frowns and holds her drink away.
"Dunno, still debating if I did, or you hallucinated from the alcohol." Hands raise to the level of her shoulders in defense. She looks apologetically at him, but still with a smile.
"Sorry, sorry, it's just so rare! I mean---" A bit shy she looks away, playing with her hair.
Does she... like me?
The thought comes sudden, but from her behavior and all their previous encounters-- maybe she does?
And what's so wrong about that?
Nothing wrong if you enjoy her company right?
That's as good a reason as any, right?
"I meant to say that it's not your usual tone so I was surprised, that's all."
He pauses, thinking, then leans a bit closer to her, still holding her glass hostage.
"Say. Hypothetically."
"Y-Yeah?"
He studies her expression, her body language.
If you both want it....
......then what speaks against it?
"Hypothetically. I actually liked spending time with you."
"Y-Yes?" She seemes to shy away a bit, but he notices the distance. She could lean far further away if she wanted. He isn't trapping her. She just decides not to.
He leans closer.
"And... hypothetically."
".... hypothetically..."
He nods.
"Hypothetically I wanted to spend more time with you..."
His voice, despite the noise around them drops to a whisper, she can still clearly hear.
"What... would your answer be?"
The pause is too long for him, but before he can pull back he notices her relaxing, leaning a bit towards him.
".... I'd say I feel the same..."
This is all he needs.
His lips meet hers and Hayato closes his eyes. Her lips are warm and blush and a bit sticky from her cocktail and lipstick. She tastes like oranges and cinnamon. Around them the festival is still going strong, but to them it's as if they are the only people in the world. The kiss is pleasant, almost ... comfortable. Her lips snug nicely against his and her warmth is enveloping.
Yeah... He enjoys this.
Neither want to part, lips lingering before they finally seperate, slowly opening their eyes. It's quiet between them and he can see her flushed face, when rather close in front of them two girls pass, giggling, stopping right before Hayato and Rena. When he looks at them he recognizes two of the members of her small theater group. They are tightly holding hands and staring at them, surprised but with a certain curiosity as if they stumbled upon some noteworthy gossip. One of them seems to gasp a little and Hayato sees out of the corner of his eyes how Rena pouts and gives them a hand signal to get moving. The girls giggle and go back on their merry way, leaving both of them in silence. Neither of them exactly know what comes now.
He doesn't want to think. Not tonight. Tonight he will just indulge.
With one motion he gives her back her glass and after she grabs it with one hand he reaches for her other and just holds it.
Maybe.... it doesn't need words.
Maybe things are fine like this.
Now he wonders what would have happened if he never indulged in this moment of peace.
What does it say about your mental health when one of the first things you draw of your selfship is them breaking up?
