Colour Wheel
To brighten your Monday morning, here is a hand painted colour wheel by Louis Hayet. Hayet (1864–1940) was a French Post-Impressionist painter who displayed a talent for painting very early on in his life. He studied briefly at École des Arts Décoratifs, but seems to have been primarily self taught. It is thought that he also benefitted creatively from his friendship with Camille and Lucien Pissarro, who he met while painting in the countryside. Hayet worked in La Frett, Brittany, and then in Montmartre in Paris. He enjoyed painting cityscapes and landscapes, as well as circus and entertainment scenes. The majority of his living, however, was earned as a decorative painter.

The name Bes (perhaps from the word besa, 'to protect') is a relatively late term used to describe what are really a number of deities and demons of Egypt, perhaps not all originally related, through all of similar form. Perhaps ten separate gods -Aha, Amam, Bes, Hayet, Ihty, Mefdjet, Menew, Segeb, Sopdu and Tetetenu- share similar, if not identical, characteristics making 'Bes' a complex and not always clearly understood figure. Although the developed deity came to be one of the most popular and widespread of the Egyptian gods, little can be said with certainty of his beginnings. In the past different scholars have assigned him both African and Near Eastern roots, but this is unnecessary and the god is attested in Egypt -if somewhat indirectly- since Old Kingdom times. He (or related deities such as Aha: 'fighter') appears on scores of artifacts of Middle Kingdom date, but it is not until the New Kingdom and later that Bes figures and images become truly widespread and reflect popular acceptance of the developed deity. Despite his appearance, which changed in many details over time, Bes was deemed beneficient to humans and he was accepted by all classes of Egyptians as a powerful apotropaic deity. He was especially associated with the protection of children and pregnant women and those giving birth and often depicted alongside Taweret in this role. Just as the Bes figure subsumed various minor gods and demons, in later times he was himself syncretized with other protective deities, forming the 'core' of a composite deity whose elements included Amun, Min, Horus, Sopdu, Reshef and other gods. Mythologically, Bes could also be associated with Re, Hathor and Horus -sometimes as the combined Horbes- and a female form of the got, Beset, sometimes appears as the mother of Horus.

Eric Abidal's Wife (Hayet), Now A Suspect For The Brutal Attack On PSG Star Kheira Hamraoui. November 16, 2021 CloudNine Sports Titbits., Football
Still on the Police investigations surrounding the shocking attack on PSG’s midfieder Kheira Hamraoui, the French police confirms that investigating judge is continuing the inquiry, and Eric Abidal's wife is now a suspect in relation to the case.
The former Barcelona defender was invited by the French police for questioning over the matter days after the incidence occurred, as his phone number was found in the player's contacts, and her sim card was also registered under his name.
Eric Abidal reportedly slept with Kheira when he was Barcelona sporting director and she played for Barca women's side at the time.
A new information now points to the Frenchman's wife being the one who ordered the beating from the maskedmen as per L'Équipe
It was supposedly a revenge for Kheira sleeping with her husband during her time at Barcelona (2018-2021).
Kheira Hamraoui was recently attacked on the streets by a few masked men who damaged her legs with a sharp object.
The French international teammate at PSG Amanita Diallo was initially suspected to have orchestrated the attack and was even questioned by the police last Wednesday.
CloudNine Sports understands that Diallo was later released without charge, having pleaded her innocence in this case and it looks like she is not guilty.
The Parisian police are now on alert after having access to the calls made and received by Kheira Hamaraoui, as well as Diallo's own statement regarding alleged threats from Abidal's wife (Hayet Abidal) in the past.
According to a number of the players within the female PSG team who are now assisting in resolving the matter, Hamraoui called Abidal the day after the attack on her occurred.
Abidal's wife is now currently being investigated by the police.
To further increase the suspicion that this case is indeed a private life matter which is not related to PSG or any of their footballing issues, it has been confirmed by Le Monde that, at some point during the attack, one of the hooded men shouted at the for having slept with married men.
