Happy Birthday, Donghyuck(Haechan)!
Haechan smiled as he came to the view of the party his friends and family had thrown for him.
"You guys really shouldn't have," He grins, carrying his son over to see the birthday cake from one of his fellow friends had made for him.
"Beaw!" Minjun points with his little finger. The toddler excited to see bear themed macaroons.
"They are bears," Haechan laughs, kissing his sons cheek.
"We wanted to celebrate both of you since things have been hectic after recovering the pack," Kun says as he stood by Ten.
"Plus, why not have a double birthday party?" Mark smiles. A party hat with bear ears sat on the top of every hounds head.
"Thank you," Placing Minjun down for him to run off to see the wrapped presents, Haechan stops as he turns to see Taeyong talking to Sua.
"I thought I told you to leave and not come back." The leader lowly growls at the omega who tried to stand her ground.
Thinking no one could hear them as music played and everyone chatted away, Taeyong held Sua by the upper arm as he glared her down.
"Threatening me to leave my mate and son wasn't going to keep me away forever." Sua whispered back as she struggled in Taeyong's grip. "Besides... it wasn't my fault that my heat spiked when Hyuck was away on a mission. If anything, you should've made Mark leave that night."
Walking over to them, Haechan stares at them with an unreadable look on his face. His fists clenching at his sides as he asks, "You threatened my mate to leave me?" Turning his head slightly to find Mark. He sees him slowly hiding behind Kai and Lucas who chatted away. "And what does Mark have to do with any of this?"
Taeyong having dropped Sua's arm, and he looks away from the intense look Haechan gave them. He knew deep down he would have to tell him what happened when he had left one day to accomplish a mission he had sent him across the country. "The night when I sent you and the team to help out San..." He breathes shakily, afraid of his reaction. "Mark... he... he took advantage of Sua when I should've been keeping an eye on her like you asked." He says. "Lola came to visit, and I thought Sua was going to be okay with her heat alone... but I forgot Mark had never been near her when she was on her heat."
Avoiding his eye contact, Sua felt like breaking down all over again as Haechan stared at her with sadness in his eyes and a tear escaping his eyes. "Why didn't you tell me?" He says softly to the omega. "You know I love you."
"B-because I was scared..." Sua answers back, quickly composing herself as she sees Minjun run over to them with a big smile on his face.
"Mama, mama!" The toddler screamed as he lifted up another firetruck set. "Look!"
"That's awesome, baby," Sua smiled as she bent down to pick up her son. Taking him away from Taeyong and Haechan before anything else was said to make her burst out crying again.
Looking up, Haechan finds Taeyong staring back at him in concern. A leaders look he knew so well. "Is he really my son?"
"He is." Taeyong tells him. "I checked immediately when he was born. I wasn't going to let Mark ruin your happiness over having a baby." Bringing in his young hell hound, he hugs him, rubbing his back to calm him down. "I know you want to shred Mark to pieces right now. I know I did when I came back to find Kai choking him outside of your house. That's why he wasn't around when you got back."
Chuckling out over his shoulder, Haechan smiled a bit. Knowing that his best friend had suffered at the hands of his friends. "Next time something like that happens... don't threaten her again to leave. Threaten Mark instead or I'll do it my way."
