The entire reason Loki’s changed his getup (clothes, growing out his hair, even the jewelry he wears) was to essentially solidify the fact that he was no longer going to follow Odin’s law. Of course, there was no PROPER ‘apparel’ law, but this was a stepping stone in his goal to bring forth Ragnarok.  The change happened after Hel was maimed and sent away; all Loki did was watch and do nothing (not that he really COULD when he’d be outnumbered) whilst his daughter, his very first child, was pretty much murdered. That scene set him on the path to Ragnarok; he even fled from Asgard for a time. 

The reason he wears the golden bangles that range from his elbow to his wrist, however, is to cover up the scars that were left when he broke free of the chains he was bound to after Odin sent Thor after him for Baldr’s death & the birth of Hel.  When he broke free of the chains, he tore some of his skin off of his arms and although he COULD heal them, he ensured he was left with a reminder of what Odin did to him and even to Hel. THAT was the defining moment for Ragnarok. THAT was when he knew he had to get revenge.

NOT counting his kids, his favorite family member is, funnily enough, Thor.

Yes, he and his brother are not related by blood; and they’ve CERTAINLY not always gotten along, but Loki envies the way Thor is seen. Even Loki acknowledges this, Thor is a HERO– Thor is the one that Odin would rely on, the one that ALL of Asgard would rely on. Loki’s simply the villain who wants to (occasionally) do good. 

Despite his envy, Loki appreciates everything about Thor – despite his antics, Thor has never hated him. He has never expressed the want to kill him. Even despite being treated as an enemy, and not a brother, Thor has always treated HIM as a brother; like a REAL brother. Not only that, but he’s also treated Hel (mostly) kindly, when the other Gods didn’t and even her own father abandoned her. For that, Loki is completely grateful to Thor, even if he doesn’t show it. 

Loki has that sort of mentality where, HE can insult Thor all he wants, but if SOMEONE ELSE does it? He’ll immediately either insult them or blast them.

The Ghost type is all about mystery. Like a phantom, your motives and methods seem to disappear as quickly as they emerge. Failure. Although it may not seem like it, Loki holds a very large fear of failing anything he does. Part of it stems from failing to be a good father, the other comes from failing to best Thor & ultimately always come in ‘second place’ to Odin. Any form of failure will send Loki into a deep depression, even if he does not show it, he will essentially be battling himself on the inside while faking his emotions on the outside. 

Abandonment. A small form of abandonment, nothing too major; only because he was never accepted as the son of Fárbauti and thus cast aside as if he never existed.
