POV: You’re a Feralist whose about to be liberated from the Affini.

In case it’s not abundantly clear, this is my first attempt at something animated. I was going to crop it but it ended up having one of those ‘coming out of the screen towards the viewer’ kind of effect that I like.
I mainly wanted an excuse to draw Weshra in a bunch of cool poses.
I need to be a floret so badly; I know I can't take care of myself, I just want mama. I'm tired of being so sad, I'm so tired; I just want to be happy and comfy and safe.
Here's my take on the Affini craft "Zealand" It seems to be what most sophonts on this website use as the setting for HDG roleplay and I think it's kinda neat. No idea where it originated but I like the name :3 From what I've heard be said, it's a research vessel many hab rings and is around 5000km long, that scale is uh, kinda hard to comprehend, but the Affini like making things big so it makes sense. I took inspiration from other HDG fanart and a design I often see is Affini ships having a sort of plant bulb on the front and I really like that so that's what I went with here.

Reading human domestication guide media is fun when you're me because you can project any and every weird idea you want onto the Affini characters, especially in terms of voices.

Think that one Affini with neopronouns doing the weird BDSM stuff to the straight girl would sound funnier in your head if you imagined em with the voice of Keith David? Well, now you can't unhear it.

Also there's the subject of the Affini language and how I imagine it sounds, since the fic I'm reading does have dialogue that is stated to be in Affini. Yeah, so, I just imagine it's Irish, tbh. I know it's not an alien language, I know it doesn't match the grammatical rules that the text implies the Affini language to have. I just find it sexy, so there.
It's like "The phrase 'good girl' or an appropriate equivalent are usually the first words a floret picks up on." Okay, well, I'm now imaging Plant Alien Sigourney Weaver saying "nach cailín maith thú!" to me and giving me an instant boner. I'm sorry I'm horny for spoken Irish. I read HDG I don't have a normal sexuality.
"Gooood Morniiiiing my Sweetling" I heard faer Voice ring through my entire body. "Good Morning Mxstress" I groggily Answered, It had been 3 days since I entered my Wardship and It had been devastating. Mxstress wasn't like any of the other Affini I had met before, faer was Beauty, faer was Love incarnated and it was utterly impossible to resist faer Call. "How did faer beautiful little Fairy sleep?" I could feel faer Vines wrap around me, a possesive hug filled with nothing but love and adoration for me. It wasn't mean't to be like this, I had resisted so many Affini before fae and yet when fae arrived with those Fairy Wings in hand, it was like everything I had worked so hard for crumbled in seconds. "Darling are you alright? You seem lost in that silly head of yours again." Snapped out of my thoughts I twisted my head around looking up at those beautiful deep ocean Eyes. "I am sorry Mxstress, I just thought about how its only been a few days,,,, and how utterly you got me." I could feel a blush Spread across my face, feeling the Warmth radiate of Mxstress and into my Soul, It was like a Wildfire that was consuming my whole being. "Ah don't worry My Little Sweetling, I haven't even started yet~"

No one actually knows I’m an Affini, because I never come out of my hab, I don’t have a Floret at the moment, I don’t care about new fashion trends and I don’t have the energy to care for any other Sophonts
I’m a Nocturnal Affini after all, I’d much rather sleep all day and read the few hours I’m awake rather than care about some other Sophont.
I’ve never met a Terran or any other Sophont I’ve felt a spark with or a lust for. I just want to sleep.
