hi friends!! i updated my pronouns in my bio so basically i’m comfy with he/they/she pronouns, they/them is preferred but he/she is good occasionally as well :) i’m not entirely sure but the closest thing i identify w gender wise is nonbinary but idk, gender is weird and i might just not label myself?? but ye that’s the update

I'm so glad you're rectifying the travesty that Fawful's not shipped with anyone in canon!! Do you have a comment on that and also do you have a ship name for Jiggy and Fawful (ie. JollyFawf, Fawfulgig)? bc they're adorable omg

Honestly, my comment on that I think would be that during Fawful’s story arc I don’t think he likely had much of a chance nor really an interest in meeting anyone? Obvs I don’t know that for certain, but I’m thinking that with how utterly consumed Fawful appeared to be with his plotting and fury that the idea of love probably came last in his eyes at the time if it ever even crossed his mind. I would not be able to see Jolligig and Fawful meeting the same way if it had taken place before all the Dark Star ruckus went down.

That’s why I chose to set this little story after the fact, because I believe a post-BIS Fawful would be a much more vulnerable Fawful, and one we would like get much more of a thoughtful and complex look into had Nintendo ever chosen to bring him back again. His grand master plan has failed, he’s weakened from what he’s gone through, and it’s this point in time where he’s just trying to pick up the pieces of both himself as well as find a place in the world again now that everything that had previously consumed him is... well, over and done with.

Who would he be? Who would he talk to? In what ways would he find purpose again? That’s the sort of thing I like to think about.

PS. my personal favorite name for this ship is Jolliful!

I’m no expert or anything but part of the reason I love Alastor’s accent is that even in-universe it’s 100% for show.

The transatlantic (or midatlantic) accent was really popular until about the time of World War II and it’s totally fake. It doesn’t “come from” anywhere. It’s a sort of mingling of American and British accents and they used it in public speaking and radio because it was a very “clean” accent of English, it’s very high up in the mouth and nasally and has emphasis on syllables you use your front teeth for. Distinct consonant sounds and a lilt in some of the “muddier” vowels and (sometimes) rolling R’s, it was much easier to understand especially over broadcast and recordings. They event taught this manner of speaking in schools

Like I said I’m no expert but Alastor has a VERY fun accent and I guess what I’m getting at is that I’d very much like to see some instance where he’s like “fuck it” and drops it and starts speaking in a N’awlins dialect
