When he first moved in with the Watsons, they discovered that Hal had bedwetting tendencies. He was fourteen at the time, and it was not only distressing for him, but for the couple as well, which was what had prompted them to have Hallen see Dr. Nilsson. It was discovered to be an effect of the trauma he’d suffered from his brother, and would persist throughout his adolescence and early adulthood, though less frequently. It doesn’t happen anymore now; instead, most of his Martin-related anxieties manifest in violence and… well, regurgitative reactions, so to speak.
“You wanna know a secret?” he begins, his face devoid of any humor, eyes boring into the other’s with great intensity. “It’s… tough to have to tell you like this, but… I’m in a sexual relationship with your mother. She talks in her sleep.”
