Hyde’s expression was originally a mixture of shock and ASTONISHMENT. But the moment Marque’s actions sank in, it immediately changed, a strange mixture of anger and… AMUSEMENT.
He was trying with all his might to look as annoyed as possible, and yet there was a laugh threatening to burst forth if he even OPENED HIS MOUTH. He stood there for a few seconds, looking between Marque and the dung beetles in his now-gloved hand as he tried to regain his composure. But the more he stared at those dung beetles, the stronger the urge to laugh grew… until it was SO STRONG he couldn’t physically hold it back.
The GUFFAW that escaped his lips was genuine, and it lasted for much longer than Hyde would like to admit. But the fact that Marque had taken him seriously and WENT OUT OF HIS WAY to capture three dung beetles to help him was just too funny for Hyde to handle.
“Stop,” he laughed, giving the other man a shove backwards. “WHAT IS WRONG with you?” Another laugh escaped, but this time, Hyde was able to stop it before it turned into a full-on FIT. “You did NOT. Oh my… fucking HELL.”
