Been thinking about how if Cooper and Lucy do fall in love with each other as reflections of each other, they'd essentially be falling in love with themselves. Which made me laugh at first...

Then realized for Cooper that would mean after 200 years of guilt and regret, finally forgiving his past self and embracing healing.

And for Lucy that would mean accepting the darker side of herself she will likely need to embrace in order to secure a future for herself and those she cares about.

And that's how they would finally find balance between the two of them. The push and pull of the past and future so they can finally have some peace with themselves in the present.
