Do you have any headcanons for the MMPR team?

Uhhh...kinda?

The biggest thing here is that in shows pre-gay marraige, it was REALLY standard to queercode. I don't know if you've ever seen Xena: Warrior Princess, but it's a chaotic, insane love story between two women...that never once has either one say they're in love. And frequently has the femme girl marry or date a guy, and tossed in a 'comic relief' male character SOLELY to 'prove' it was straight (and make the audience homicidal).

Really, half my generation complaining about saying 'unalive' is just that it's so *unsubtle*. We put DRAMA into OUR anti-censorship coding...and walked uphill to school both ways in the snow...

So if you go look at MMPR with that understanding?

This is a queer polycule with power exchange kinks. Mininum. And I don't know if it was on purpose, but if you want gender or power relationship primers, go watch Power Rangers in the Saban era. (Disney killed an impressive amount of it until RPM. After that it's very hit-and-miss.)

It's not official canon, but the entire season of Time Force places the insanely butch Jen in the role of heroic vengeance on the lines of a Viking saga husband; the difference between domanatrix Astronema and the innocent Karone is a huge emotional driver in Space...

And MMPR really only worked because the team is in love. Romantic? Platonic? Agape? Yes and more. We can read The Letter arc not as a real breakup, but as Tommy, Kim, and Kat playing at being 'normal' to outsiders so Kat could join them. Jason is a young bear, and his donning of biker leather is a completion of his nature. Billy and Trini intertwine themselves, and they move power between each other so fluidly that when Trini leaves, Billy has to almost reinvent himself--but he has no sexuality with her (or other girls, and Yost is a damn saint to not tell Saban to fuck themselves on a daily basis).

So...not headcanon. But not canon. Just the reading of someone a bit older, who learned a different kind of doublespeak. Saying 'unalive' was always clever to me--it was worrying only when no one stopped.

Fic title: A double-edged love

Prinxiety (Feel free to write this, tag me if you do!)

Roman is a prince, his fathers (Logan and Janus) are about to pass the throne to him.

He has to marry someone, so his parents begin holding elaborate balls to find him a spouse (gender doesn't matter)

Roman has made it clear he only wishes to marry out of love, he only wants Virgil.

His dads see no issue, the standing not really the point

Logan was a doctor before he married Janus

The issue is the fact that Virgil has made clear his lack of interest in marriage

Virgil is head of the guard and busy constantly, best of friends with the younger prince (Remus) and Patton.

Patton and Virgil are particularly close that most people think that they're together

(They aren't they're basically brothers)

When Virgil heard Roman had to arry he apologized about the situation

And said "That socks, marriage is dumb. Let me know if you need a - escape from it, I am your knight after all.

Roman was crestfallen

Logan and Janus are very in love but also very done with their mopey child.

The kings both noticed the way Virgil acted around Roman

Virgil watches everyone, but he watches Roman near constantly, eyes fond

He always cheers Roman up

He's attempted to train Roman in self defense (the kings appreciate it and the realization Roman might have to fight for himself)

Virgil was the one who taught Roman to dance, they spent hours and hours every night for a year learning together

Virgil keeps chocolates for the princes, but mostly Roman.

Remus knows full well about Virgil and his crush, and teases him relentlessly

Surprisingly it's Patton who makes a plot to get these two together

Patton goes to the kings with Remus

(Virgil and Roman are having a picnic because they are """"friends"""")

Patton says, "Your majesties, I propose we force Virgil and Roman to marriage, perhaps you can come up with an ultimatum?"

Logan and Janus are surprised that Patton is the schemer, but proud of him (their pride son lol)

Remus proposes blowing up the castle which is shot down quickly.

Janus decides to contact his sister, Desdemona (dragon witch) asking her to curse Roman that until he is married by a knight with two different colored eyes and a deep voice (literally only describes Virgil) who has a knack for magic, he will lose his abilities and strengths until he withers

So, a month passes, and the curse is cast, though Dragon witcj disguises herself to do it.

Virgil had been visiting his family for the first time in three years. (Remy and emile are his parents and Thomas is his little brother)

He gets back three days later to find Roman, struggling to walk, speak, and understand anything

Virgil enters panic induced rage blackout, destroying the surrounding rooms to find the culprit.

Once calmed down, Patton, Remus, and Logan explain the situation.

Virgil sighs, 'guess I'm getting married to him then'

Virgil celebrates the idea imminently in his mind

They're married two days later, and as soon as they kiss Roman's abilities return, so he kisses Virgil again, this time more capeable

Except, Virgil had been cursed at birth that if he ever married, he would lose himself, unless his spouse managed to find and break a certain mirror

Roman is told this by an upset Thomas a few days later, after Virgil begun acting more and more like Roman himself

Cue an epic journey, Virgil so far gone he acts exactly like Roman, even losing his fighting abilities.

Patton ends up having to take Virgil when Roman drops him off.

Remus and Patton watch Virgil, he slowly starts acting like Patton and Remus combined

Roman ends up finding and breaking the mirror

But when he comes back Virgil has been unconscious for two weeks (when Roman broke the mirror, but also when Virgil tried to blow up the torture chamber)

Roman is upset because he thinks Virgil is gone forever

So, Roman sits, clutching Virgil's hand

Virgil priest his eyes open, "dad, papa?"

Roman freezes, "Who?"

Virgil looks over, "Princey?"

Some cute reunion and several kisses later Remus loudly proclaims he's going to 'marry Patton for his body'

Ruini g the moment and possibly starting a sequel

Virgil is back to himself, Roman is safe, and they're sapping in love when they take over the role if kings soon after this mess

Janus and Logan retire to a large house thats mostly a library

So I been listening to this since yesterday and I had a cannon were Hartley sings in the shower.So I had an idea were when he was in the pipeline Cisco would at least feed him lunch and dinner and would let him take a shower so when Cisco was trying to tell him to hurry up he hears him singing and would listen but never told him he would listen to him and plus was there when he was showering.
