Some might assume that Tyler's bitterness and need to chase off visitors came from his unfair death. But he got over being upset at Elliot. He forgave him and still does. It was his parents. They visited the abandoned building, hearing that their child haunted it. In the very beginning, his telekinesis powers were very unstable, and seeing his parents for the first time since he died made the ability go out of control. Chased away by the fear of having lethally heavy objects thrown at them, the two moved away from the town-- Leaving a very bitter and brokenhearted son to be stuck in the school with no means of escape.
