Naruto blew his arm off in a final fight with Sasuke that also blew off Sasuke's arm (rasengen exploding against whatever the hell Sasuke's hand thing was as it also exploded). All of the big bads were defeated and Sasuke decided, then, that he needed to kill all the hokage out of the blue for shits and giggles while they were all helpless and unconscious because - well, he's Sasuke. So -of course- he and Naruto had to fight. Afterward there were exactly zero repercussions for anything Sasuke had done the entire time and they both got clone arms.
ā¦Iā¦wHUT. Even for this seriesā¦thatās definitely a trip. I got so burned out with the never-ending Ninja War Episodes (and losing my spot) that I kinda skipped over to the sparksnotes version. Which did include āand then they foughtā buuutā¦nothing about these two idiots blowing eachothersā arms offā¦

It actually gave me the perfect excuse to revisit TV series from the late 90s, early 2000, totally for inspiration purposes of course *coughcough* ;-D Ā Itās super fun to build and decorate for Sims 2 towns in the Sims 3 and make me use things I wouldnāt use for a French sim-town (which are more up my alley). This one was a diner in Pleasantview: (sorry for the v. bright pic :-/)

absolutely! I did/am doing that (sloooowly, oh so slowly) with some of my old FFVII stuff. People I used to chat meta with have found me again plus a whole bunch of new readers. Plus you canāt trust ff.net not to just disappear one day. Save that Stuff!
I didnāt even consider finding old friends! Many of the writers I used to chat with in older fandoms appear to have disappeared off the face of FF.net, but thatās not to say they didnāt move elsewhere, or change their names. I know Iāve gotten plenty of comments on my Voltron stuff, or here, that are more or lessĀ āAre you the same Velkyn Karma that wrote [x] on FF.net???ā So thatās definitely a good thought!
The effort level would be pretty huge for some fics...the thought of trying to transition any of my old One Piece stuff makes me cringe a little. Thereās so much of it and itās so long. And I would definitely want to at least give them cursory edits to fix old writing issues, like typos and run-on sentences. So those I might not tackle...or at least, not right away. And I probably wouldnāt bother with some of the SUPER old ones, or ones I just donāt really care for anymore. But the ones I still like...yeah. Maybe.
You are absolutely right about FF.net nerfing stuff too...so thatās definitely something to consider as well.
So everything good about voltron was an accident/stuff the writers were forced to do and everything they wanted to do we all hated? God itās like Iām watching rwby. Perhaps all the bullshit can all be fixed if the executives who told them to expand on shiro and other stuff they didnāt want to do just write the show themselves? Just throwing it out there.
Iām not sure how it works when writing a TV show. I know May Chan had to be credited forĀ āA Little Adventure,ā even though she hadnāt had a writing credit for VLD since Season 3. So she must have written part of the episode, prior to her leaving the show. (Come back, Ms. Chan!)
And according to my conversations with @sol1056, people are paid by the title they hold on a show - staff writer, head editor, etc. So I canāt say for sure how the season we got came to fruition.Ā

When you get a chance, check out headspacedad's take on the bi/panphobia in the fandom regarding Shiro. It really hits the nail on the the head.
just read it here and it was quite good, i agree. i think it looks more at fandom culture than the underlying message that bi/panphobia actually presents, but we need both those things to create a full discussion of something. thanks for the rec!
