Throwback Thursday to my first Ayahuasca inspired painting, based on the experiences from my first ever ceremony here in Tarapoto, back in 2013. I had actually avoided trying Aya till I was 34, cause I wasn’t into the stereotype imposed on me as a Peruvian visionary artist. Most of my paintings come from my sober inner visions and my ego didn’t like them to be attributed to entheogen ghost writers. But once I started using this medicine I realized that it wasn’t about the trippy stuff that the dmt side of its composition gave me, sometimes. It was about purging the negative sides of me, learning her wisdom and healing myself into a better version of I. I am very grateful to have this powerful alien ally in my life and an now an honour to help people find a pure container for this experience, at my yearly “Katari Center” Retreats. Anyways, this piece is called “The Purge” and it’s on a 3D canvas crafted by @cerebralconcepts . #ayahuasca #medicine #ceremony #kataricenter #tarapoto #peru #healingvisionsworkshop #learnandgrow #throwbackthursday (at Katari Center)
