Hi friends! I Love you all so much! I just finished my 4th Aya Ceremony of this journey and feeling so great and light! I also finished up my “Bachuja” master plant Dieta, and now need a month to let it integrate/grow in me. Such a blessing, even though it will b difficult not to hug people for this time. My Art n medicine workshop also started and it’s real fun so far! From the 18 students signed up only 2 American girls actually made it. A bit bummed for the ones missing, but I surrender, alow and flow with the situation. I shall see them soon enough for the March retreat! In the meantime we’ve been sending massive potent payers for the healing of the world and the liberation of humanity! Last night’s Full Moon Eclipse ceremony was no joke!! We danced around like a tribe of Peter Pan Lost Boys, haha. SO HAPPY that I was able to make it back to @katari.ayahuasca.center in the rainforest of Peru! Nature always welcomes it’s children with unconditional love, understanding and healing. This week I will be spending my time alone in this jungle hut, doing my 3rd Master Plant “dieta”. In this ocattion I will be drinking “Bachuja”, which is a very strong tree, who will teach me how to stand firm no matter what challenging energies blow around me. In order to allow this nature spirit to take over my system, I am not able to eat any food with sugar, salt, oil, spices, etc. I’m also not to use soap, deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, etc, nor can I masturbate. Other than drinking this plant I’ll keep busy by meditating, praying, reading, doing art and dreaming. Also, I will be doing 3 Ayahuasca ceremonies to compliment it’s lessons, starting tonight. Though it can be challenging for a busy mind like mine to just chill out by himself, it is a priority to always work on my self improvement. I cannot go out and tell the world to become Love, but I can try my best to become Love, no matter what’s the scenario. So I do my shamanic work. Today is day 3 of our “Healing Visions” retreat, here at @katari.ayahuasca.center in Tarapoto, Peru. We just did a potent Kambo ceremony in the morning, then I teach a mural workshop in the afternoon and then we have an Aya ceremony at night. Lots of purging, hard self-work, learning and growing. Our group this year is so sweet and they are already enjoying the blessings of from these experiences in such a nice setting. As my 4th “Healing Visions” retreat in the Peruvian jungle is coming up, this painting I did a couple of years ago comes to mind. It truly takes a bad ass peaceful warrior to invest time, effort and resources, in order to do inner work. My students take responsibility for their lives and throw themselves into an alien environment, in order to do some challenging “soul pushups”. Our intentions for this work is to improve as people, servants of the most high and artistic creators. I am very humbled to have a full class this year, a Love Tribe to work along side, which will also include my own parents! Art and sacred medicines has brought so much healing blessings into my life. I am beyond humbled to share those experiences next month at @katari.ayahuasca.center along my personal healer/shaman. The work of self realization ain’t easy, you have to face your demons and you don’t always win every battle. But it is worth it, for yourself, your family, your tribe and our planet. Last night was the first Ceremony of our retreat. There was hard work done, but also many rewards and indescribable beauty! A painting or even the most ambitious psychedelic animation could never come close to all of the ever-expanding fractal alien multiverses that Ayahuasca reveals inside myself. She schools me with reflections of my resistances/blockages and washes me a bit closer to my liberated potential. I was sitting in between my parents who drank the mystic brew for the first time. My doctor @herbert_quinteros started them with a tiny dose, but still they began their descontruction work, so I was holding space for them and helping a bit with their purge, through me. In the end, they are part of me, so their liberation will be part of mine too. The music that Herbert and his wife @acaciajadeyoga played was potent as always and we also had a couple of super good musicians/shamans from the Brazilian “Yawanawa” tribe take us on a deep vibrational ride/scrub! Once it was over, I just sat with my new student friends talking about all the reasons to be grateful/happy and how to spread that vibe in our world, so that the sickness in humanity can be healed from inside of each of our hearts. It was a big honour to have the legendary Peruvian visionary artist @maurojungleartist as a guest teacher in my “Healing Visions” retreat! He’s one of the oldest students of the original Ayahuasca artist Pablo Amaringo, but has a flavour of his own. He has to take a 16 hour bus to get here n then another one back to his part of the jungle, so I bought one of his gorgeous paintings as a sign of gratitude. My students really enjoyed hearing about his relationship with the Amazonian plants and see him paint the beginning of a new piece. Throwback Thursday to my first Ayahuasca inspired painting, based on the experiences from my first ever ceremony here in Tarapoto, back in 2013. I had actually avoided trying Aya till I was 34, cause I wasn’t into the stereotype imposed on me as a Peruvian visionary artist. Most of my paintings come from my sober inner visions and my ego didn’t like them to be attributed to entheogen ghost writers. But once I started using this medicine I realized that it wasn’t about the trippy stuff that the dmt side of its composition gave me, sometimes. It was about purging the negative sides of me, learning her wisdom and healing myself into a better version of I. I am very grateful to have this powerful alien ally in my life and an now an honour to help people find a pure container for this experience, at my yearly “Katari Center” Retreats. So I am in Tarapoto by now, in the high jungle of Peru. Today I enter Katari Center with my students to lead my art and medicine retreat. We start with a Temascal sweat lodge and later at night our first ceremony with my healer/shaman @herbert_quinteros . Then tomorrow we start painting our healing visions. This here is the painting that I started here at last year’s retreat and it ended being an ode to Arianne @themetanoist and all the deep healing Love she brought into my life. Sadly she was not meant to be with me in this current journey, as the self-love I am searching for has to come from my own heart root and not from any external sources. I have to conquer myself alone. I also decided to do a whole “dieta” this time, taking daily dosages of the power plant “Bobinsana”. In order for it to fully do its work I can’t have any food with flavour for the next week, no salt, condiments, no sugars (including fruit), that might take away from the potency of that medicine. Also no soap, deodorant, bug spray, toothpaste, masturbation, touching anybody, etc. Another challenging fast of sorts that will be hard, yet will make the aya ceremonies that more effective. I am tired of my insecurities and I am here to remove all that dosnt serve me anymore. Nobody said the path of Self-Realization was an easy one, but definitely worth it!
