Enjoyed watching the Soul food junkie documentary! Just reminds me of my passion for encouraging people to live a healthier lifestyle. Someone recently asked me if I was born with a higher metabolism and was naturally thin would I go so hard for health? My answer was absolutely! Yes my story was motivated by weight but understanding what I know now about health and disease has forever changed my destiny. We may be fine now eating all the crap and not eating any fresh produce but it all catches up to us whether we are overweight or thin. Health is an investment that takes years but pays off later in life; we have to be in it for the long haul. What motivates me now is not looking hot or fitting a certain dress size but it's taking steps so I won't be a burden on my family or so I don't have to spend a fortune in medications or have preventable surgeries. It frustrates me so much that many (not all) are praying for health miracles from God for problems that can be treated with proper management of lifestyle and diet choices and eating the abundance of fresh foods He has already provided. Instead of pointing to the enemy in entertainment, or on our jobs we need to look at the enemy killing us on our plate. #Healthrant #healthyliving #investinhealth #eattolive #paparoxi
