Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry

Better than takeout, and healthier too - this 30-minute Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry is bursting with rich, savory flavor and pleases even the pickiest eaters.
Ingredients:
2 large (or 3 small-medium) boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon Chinese five spice
3 cups broccoli florets
1/3 cup water or chicken broth
Sauce
1 tablespoon fish sauce or oyster sauce
2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1/2 cup cold water + 1 tablespoon corn starch
green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Cooking Directions:
Whisk together all sauce ingredients (except for water and corn starch) and set aside.
Drizzle a large skillet over medium heat with oil. Add chicken, season with Chinese five spice, and saute for 6-8 minutes until chicken is cooked through. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
Add broccoli florets to pan, saute 2-3 minutes until broccoli starts to become crisp on the edges. Add 1/3 cup water or chicken broth and cook for 4-6 minutes longer until broccoli is fork-tender.
Add chicken back to pan. Pour sauce into the pan and give it a good stir. Whisk together 1/2 cup cold water and corn starch until dissolved, then stir into the pan. Once sauce has thickened (about 1 minute) cook 2-3 minutes longer, then garnish with onions and sesame seeds and serve.

1. Tentang Olahraga Awalnya gue berolahraga karena amat sangat membenci tubuh gue, bentuknya yang aneh, lemak nya yang tidak karuan dan gelambir yang semakin belapis. Benci! Benci banget gue sempet bertameng di balik kalimat pujian ilusi : “Ya udah sih kan lu tinggi badan nya jadi ga keliatan, udah ideal lah anjir jangan so so an diet dan olahraga lu”
Tapi pada akhirnya gue sadar kalau pikiran gue salah. Olahraga deh! Serah lu mau olahraga apapun tapi cobain deh niatnya karena lu “Mencintai tubuh lu”, asli enak banget. Namanya juga cinta kan, makin dilakuin makin nikmat. Beda kalau awalnya karena membenci, makin dilakuin makin begah. Percaya deh. 2. Tentang Tidur
Sering banget tuh gue ngerasa bangga klo bisa terjaga sampe tengah malem, lakuin hal-hal konyol, terus over proud di medsos dengan tajuk “Jam-jam overthinking nih” padahal yang dipikirin pun tidak masuk kategori dalam hal upgrade diri dan penghasilan alias gabut deh. Terus menerus konsisten alhasil ada tuh keliatan efek begadangnya (tuh kan gue bilang juga apa, klo konsisten pasti ada hasilnya). Efeknya jelek bagi gue, mata panda ga usah ditanya deh, asam lambung juga sering naik, pagi gak fresh dan pikiran pun kacau, ujung-ujungnya ngaruh ke kerjaan. Ah sebel. So, pada akhirnya gue mencoba untuk mulai mengatur pola istirahat. Lu tuh udah cape, entah karena hal positif atau negatif tapi intinya cape kan jadi butuh istirahat. Ga usah bangga bisa nemenin crush terjaga seharian klo pada akhirnya ga baik buat kesehatan fisik atau mental lu. Tidur, rehat, besok-besok berjuang lagi. 3. Tentang Merawat Diri Iya deh iya gue menyesal dulu sempet ngeyel kalo gue ga butuh skincare dan ga butuh make up atau ga butuh me-time ke salon. Sayang duit! Dulu mikirnya gitu, apa-apa sayang duit, apa-apa hemat, apa-apa yaudah ntar aja klo udah nikah, lah dikata badan ini tidak butuh dirawat? Motor aja tiap bulan ganti oli, lah elu tiap hari dipake mikir dan kerja keras masa sih ga mau appreciate diri sendiri, self reward gitu lah. Nah, akhirnya dari pemikiran dan jam terbang (cie) jadi belajar untuk bisa lebih mengatur keuangan dan komposisi perawatan diri (investasi juga dong cuy merawat badan tuh). Gue ga mau merawat diri dengan tujuan untuk “menyenangkan” orang lain, soalnya klo orang lain yang gue maksud tidak merasa senang ntar gue yang kecewa haha. Sudah-sudah untuk diri sendiri aja sebagai salah satu jalan untuk mencapai goal “Be the Best Version of Me”
Rasain deh, ntar lama-lama berasa manfaatnya.
4. Tentang Sharing and Upgrading Knowledge.
Senengnya belajar setelah masa-masa sekolah atau kuliah tuh apa coba? Banyak! Belajar tanpa tekanan, belajar tanpa pengen dipandang dosen, belajar tanpa terpaksa, belajar tanpa harus mikirin final test, belajar tanpa harus mikirin resume. Intinya ya beneran “BELAJAR” yang didasari oleh curiosity. Akhirnya nempel diotak little bit longer than when you was on college (kalo gue). Gue seneng banget kalo bisa ketemu banyak orang dan bisa sharing segala hal, sharing pengalaman dll. Jadinya gue bisa upgrade terus dan terus. Gue juga masih belajar kok, masih banyak salahnya tapi gue sekarang menanamkan dalam diri untuk tidak berhenti belajar apapun dan dengan siapapun. Buat siapa? Buat diri gue dan hidup gue, biar otak gue ga ada waktu buat rehat dan mikirin yang ga penting, biar otak gue keisi sama banyak hal yang menarik, cobain deh! ----Bersambung putriputam 28 Oktober 2020
