I was GREATLYYYY inspired by Stateside by PinkPantheress (obviously), especially after watching the one with Zara Larsson! But what really got me thinking was the one with Kylie Minogue! I looked at the cover of Stateside a lot for this, I also saved a bunch more pictures of Pink, herself😅 I love her aesthetic, not much of a plaid person myself but she makes me love it way more than I originally did! I kept dwelling on the idea for days because I wasn’t sure how I actually wanted it to look like. When I figured it out (with a comically loud gasp when I was with my friends) I made a whole entire Pinterest board to save ideas of what I thought would look good for the design (I was originally planning on using the Season Greetings 2026…) I used a photoshoot from DICON magazine.
I used a site called Pixlr! I’ve actually been using for a while now and would definitely recommend it if you want to do designs like these! It only lets you save 3x a day for free though. I recommend using it on a computer or something because using it on mobile can be tricky 😅 (MY ARM IS SO SORE RIGHT NOW PLEASE HELP😭)
I did Jake first and because it was my first time doing any design like this it almost took me an hour🥲 That’s also just because I’m really indecisive…
Jay’s didn’t take as long because I actually had a better grasp on what I was doing.
I left an outline (I cut out the pictures with the lasso tool) because I sort of wanted it to give a green screen vibe? I guess? Also because I was really tired but aren’t we all?
