♕⋆˚｡⋆୨୧˚✧ — Lanna had been watching some of the tournament after she had been eliminated in the first stinking round! By Mikhail, no less! And to think, she had been so weak...  Eugh, it was appalling. No matter, this just meant she would have to train extra hard for the next one, hmph.

One fight that had stood out to her in particular was Lloyd’s... She only knew Aurelia from the tournament and the other opponent she didn’t know that well. She had been there for moral support, but it ended with her boss getting the snot beat out of him. So, with freshly made soup in her hands, she carried it to the medical tents on a quest to find this dummy.

“Knock knock!” She stuck her head inside the tent to make sure it was him and not someone else before fully entering. “I brought soup~” And a lecture.

Lest couldn’t believe he’d missed Frey’s birthday.

Honestly, she could have told him it was coming up! If he was never told, then he shouldn’t be held accountable, right? ...Still, he felt kinda bad about missing it. He hadn’t decided on a birthday for himself yet, but he’d kind of like it if people celebrated with him when he eventually did. So, for now, he’d just have to come up with some sort of make-up gift. 

Jewelry seemed the right way to go. It was pretty, and, well... expensive... But while he was in Leuda for the snowball fight, he might as well take the opportunity to investigate the store he’d heard two bystanders talking about. Maybe he’d find something within his price-range that would still look nice. 

Entering the store, Lest took a look around. “Hello...?”

Memories of someone who was long gone came up immediately. The warmth of a calloused hand from many years spent at the kitchen, the serious yet gentle voice warning him of the hot stove nearby. What he’d do to have them all back, even for one single day.

“Very,” Raeger stated quietly, eyes filled with a deeply rooted sadness that contrasted against the tight smile he wore. “Sometimes, it makes me wonder if there was ever something I could’ve done to change that. But, nothing is gained from dwelling on what ifs either. All I know is that I have to live on the best I can without holding back, to avoid any of those regrets from happening again.”

It was almost laughable, really, how empty of a promise that was coming from him.

An odd question to ask, when he was over the moon and then some. What was he to say, when all the words that trickled from his lips were dipped in syrup and exhilaration? Sorry? Broken heart is out of order, at the moment? If laughter towards such a serious question was less of a crime, perhaps he would have given a good laugh or two instead. But what was he to say to this?

“Check to see if you can see yourself in the mirror.” 

“Talk to crows.” 

“Sing to tall sunflowers.”

He dusted one of Eve’s Tiffany lamps and pulled the chain to click it on. “Hang up that wind chime you forgot your friend had sent you. Count the raindrops that cling to the coach wagon window. Start collecting envelopes.”

He clicked on another lamp, this time, hanging from the roof. And another, and another. As the answer poured out of him. “Purchase that Polaroid you had your eye on for three months. Meet up with an old friend, just to sword fight. Lay still, in the snow.”

“Remember that who you were a second ago is gone. And who you will come to be has yet to exist.” And another. And another.

With all the lamps lit, he didn’t mind the way Wall Market glowed tonight.
