Baby Update:

Wow I haven’t updated this blog in forever. I’m sorry yall! For anyone who cares, it’s been a rollercoaster ride to say the least. Due to medical issues on my end - gestational diabetes and ultimately gestational hypertension - baby came early at 36 weeks. I got to experience about 3 extra bonus weeks with babe before his due date. He is so stinking cute yall, I’m in love. 😍🥰

I also got to experience what it’s like to be diabetic - which reaffirmed I DO NOT want to let myself get to that point. Though it turns out when push comes to shove I can totally do the finger pricks…

As far as weight, my total weight gain from pregnancy was about 70ish lbs. I ended up being induced at 283 lbs. About two weeks postpartum I weighed myself and was at 258. I’ve been doing super well with maintaining that and sticking around there.

I do not plan on actively trying to lose weight due to breastfeeding. I do not want my supply to plummet due to a calorie deficit. If I happen to lose, great, but I’m not going to be overly worried about it. Ideally I want to just work on maintaining.
