Here is my official post of approval for Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk! 👏🏼👏🏼⁣ ⁣ Guess we can retire #HeatherforSheHulk 😂😂⁣ ⁣ Anyway, to start, I’m not *super* familiar with her work. I do KNOW about her role in Orphan Black and I know she MUST be talented to pull of so many different types of characters. Plus all the punchy kicky in that show! I am moving it to the top of my to-watch list! ⁣ ⁣ However, I did re-read all the Hunger Games books at the start of quarantine via Audiobook and she’s the Audible narrator! This re-read brought me much solace and her performance was amazing. I’m glad that I got a sneak peek into her talent in this way. ⁣ ⁣ I cannot wait to see what she does with my favorite character. Tatiana, I’m putting my full trust and faith in you that you’ll do She-Hulk justice by treating her like the intelligent, badass woman she is. ⁣ ⁣ I also want to thank everyone for the hilarious and heartwarming messages about how I should be playing She-Hulk. How to have the confidence of She-Hulk 💪🏼⁣ ⁣ So, in my Geeknasium community I just did a training on how to have more confidence. But one thing from that training that keeps coming up is HOW. TO. TRUST. YOURSELF. ⁣ ⁣ A huge part in having confidence is trusting yourself and your abilities. One way I personally struggle with trusting myself is with decision making.⁣ ⁣ I’ve told myself my whole life that I’m “bad at making decisions.” I’m a Libra, so it’s part of our personality to “weigh all options” but my lack of trust in myself has led me down a path of people pleasing and NOT being my truest self. ⁣ ⁣ So many of us have stories inside our heads that we tell ourselves... and those stories ARE NOT TRUE. ⁣ ⁣ I was only BAD at making decisions because I TOLD myself I was bad at making decisions. ⁣ ⁣ So now, whenever a big decision comes up, I give myself a deadline to decide. If it’s something HUGE, the deadline is longer, if it’s something small like “what do I want for dinner, I make the decision right then and there and don’t let myself think on it at all. ⁣ ⁣ You have to DECIDE to be DECISIVE. ⁣ ⁣ What’s something you’ve been telling yourself that might not be true? Think of something you can do today that will help you combat that story in your head. How can you grow trust and confidence in yourself today and every day? ⁣ ⁣ This is something we work on in the Geeknasium Membership! She Hulk Pep Talk about bringing yourself JOY right now... ⁣ ⁣ It’s easy to feel down when the world around us is in chaos. ⁣ ⁣ It’s easy to be sad when life is so uncertain. ⁣ ⁣ It’s easy to feel trapped when you are literally confined to a small space. ⁣ ⁣ You just have to remember that you are enough and you are STRONG. Here are She Hulk’s tips on how to bring yourself joy in these times: ⁣ ⁣ 💚 Have something to look forward to. Right now, with cancelled plans and not being able to go out, it can be easy to feel alone. My friends and I have scheduled a MCU rewatch in chronological order. That’s 23 movies, one per day. It’s given me a bit of structure and gives me one thing per day to truly look forward to! ⁣ ⁣ 💜 Rediscover an old passion. Is there a passion or hobby of yours that you had to let go of because you were “too busy?” I challenge you to find something you’ve let go of and start doing it again, every day for at least 30 mins. Knitting? Singing? Dancing? Schedule some time for just you and your passion. ⁣ ⁣ 💚 Try something new! A recipe? A new hobby? An online workout? I keep failing over and over again ⁣ ⁣ 💜 FEEL what you are feeling. Journal. Meditate. Cry. Do whatever it is that you need to do to process and cope with your emotions right now. You are allowed to just BE. ⁣ ⁣ You are allowed to feel EVERYTHING you are feeling: ⁣ ⁣ Anxious ⁣ Scared ⁣ Angry ⁣ Guilty⁣ Sad⁣ Privileged ⁣ Helpless⁣ Lazy⁣ Shocked⁣ Hopeless⁣ Content ⁣ Confused ⁣ Productive⁣ Avoidant⁣ Uncertain ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Whatever it is you are feeling, IT 👏🏼 IS 👏🏼 VALID 👏🏼 ⁣ ⁣ And I will NOT let you beat yourself up for feeling that way. Don’t fight your feelings. ⁣ FEEL THEM. ⁣ ⁣ We are living in a time where you really just have to take it day by day. There’s no certainty on what the future holds. There is no “normal.”⁣ Fighting your emotions and being mean to yourself on top of everything else is not helpful right now. ⁣ What is helpful? ⁣ Connecting with how you feel. ALL OF IT. ⁣ The good, the bad, and the really really ugly. The dark. The surreal. ⁣ The more connected you are to yourself, the easier you’ll be able to handle this whole situation. ⁣ If you bury, fight, and ignore your emotions, you are asking for TROUBLE in the long run. ⁣ ⁣ Next time you’re feeling sad, let yourself feel it. ⁣ Greet anxiety like an old friend. ⁣ If something makes you laugh, really enjoy it. ⁣ ⁣ It’s going to make all the difference in the world. Be proud of that. ⁣ ⁣ 🟢 You are SO STRONG. Not just physically (Your physical strength is literally incalculable) but also mentally. It’s impossible to know EVERYTHING and there’s always room to learn more but that doesn’t make you stupid. You have an education. Please don’t demean yourself by calling yourself stupid.
