Feeling good and refreshed after a 15min meditation sesh. Much needed 👌
I've had the shittiest eating day and I don't even care 🙌 one day of bad eating won't undo progress just like one day of clean eating won't fix everything
let's start at the beginning hey
I guess part of having a fitness blog would be to set goals. So here's mine.
2013 was great. I mean, it started great, and ended great and was great for the most part until something at the very end.
I'm a medical student, and my course is like high school. There are 5 years, and everyone knows everyone and everything about everyone. Last year was my first year, but somewhere along the way I slipped up and now this year is my first year again. I have to repeat my first year of high school. That's that thing that happened - I failed.
I'm not the person who fails. Yea, I know, it sounds like I've got my head up my arse, but I really don't I promise. But somehow, no matter how bad I screw up, I always manage to regain control and fix stuff and move past it. It's this control thing that I can't quite get a hold on right now.
I've always controlled something, mostly my diet, and not in a good way. There's healthy eating, and then there's obsessive dieting. I've never been diagnosed with an eating disorder, so I won't claim to have one. It's more of a 'how much can I afford to eat today without looking fat for the party on friday'. It's more of an obsessive portion control sort of thing.
Whatever. My point through all the rambling is that this year isn't going to be easy and I know it. All my friends, housemates, they're all moving forward this year, and I'm stuck. I don't really ever make resolutions, but this year's was to move forward. And while I'm still in the holidays, I'm going to start with kicking this diet thing in the butt and turning this control thing into improving my body. Because something needs to start going right for me. And when uni starts, Im going to move forward to. I'll put my energy into being happy and focused, and making new friends and keeping up with the old. I'll be positive.
That's where 2014 is heading.
