Over a year ago I got really into the truscum/transmed and a-exclusionist communities. A couple months ago I completely left them and I no longer consider or label myself a transmed or a-exclusionist. If you see old posts from me please know that those aren't necessarily my views anymore.

I haven't outright said this on my blog yet so I figured I would now.

What sort of infighting happened in the Kylux fandom?

*sighs* more than one sort, unfortunately. it was a mix of top/bottom discourse, content policing, personal vendettas among the fandom famous and massive circlejerking

basically someone with 1k followers could decide you were a pedophile for drawing general hux a bit thinner and without his smirk lines and have their minions running you off tumblr, you could be called a threat to the lgbt community for drawing bottom kylo and no one would fucking TALK to you if you weren’t part of the 1k club, yet they would consider themselves all part of the same ‘sin bin’ [reylo fam, anyone?…]

it was a very unhealthy environment for everyone involved, a lot of artists and writers retired bc they couldn’t put up with shit anymore and the fandom kinda died out for a while… nowadays it’s pretty active and relatively [almost completely as far as i know] drama free, because people grew fucking TIRED of dealing with ego driven clowns and got back to the real deal that is watching kylo and hux fucking/making love in every possible way. plus the fandom broke up in smaller groups, so you have the hardcore kinksters, the cute asexual stuff folks, the kylux-adjacent team…. and most people hc them as switches nowadays. lmao.

i am myself a die hard kyluxer since 2000 and fucking 15 but i had to fucking retire around the end of 2016 bc the fandom had eaten my health away. what’s the point of staying as a content maker in a fandom if you can be attacked for making art and there’s no space for growth since everyone follows the same fucking people?   

i feel its about time we the reylos realise we are only cannibalising ourselves trying to keep the ‘reylo fam’ and disband to smaller groups like the kylux did. die hard kinksters with noncon/dark fantasies wont bother the vanilla, the vanilla wont bother the reylo-adjacent people, etc

Why do u think trans people need to have dysphoria? No malice just curious as to... why?

I recently made a post here explaining why.

Basically dysphoria is a discomfort or disconnect with your assigned gender. If you have no dysphoria there is no reason to transition or even identify as another gender. People who say you don’t need dysphoria to be trans are saying that you can simply choose to be another gender.

Questioning kids confused about their gender expression will go through mogai labels or other unnecessary confusion. They will be told that you don’t need to be uncomfortable as you assigned gender to be transgender.

Apparently not liking root beer is a thing? What's wrong with you heathens?! True story; I've met a lot of Korean and Chinese students who came to my university to study, and none of them like root beer. I can only guess it's an acquired taste, but Americans have no excuse for not liking it IMO

also w/r/t mongol irredentism: there are actually more mongols in inner mongolia than in outer mongolia/the country mongolia, but in inner mongolia they're a minority because of qing efforts to settle the area with han colonists (nb i'm using "mongol" here to mean the ethnic/cultural group, and "mongolian" to mean citizens of the sovereign state of mongolia)

i was thinking recently about, like, at what point does a historical wrong become "too far gone" to undo? how many generations of colonists must live on stolen land before it's "just as much their land" as the original inhabitants'? one generation? two? five? ten?

this is especially relevant with regards to areas that were DELIBERATELY colonized in order to eventually outnumber the natives and thus have some nebulous "legitimate claim" to it, as in inner mongolia or the american west or post-ww2 poland

on the one hand, one has to sympathize with the innocent descendants of the colonists who originally settled in the area (willingly or not); but on the other hand, one has to realize that this latter-generational innocence was kind of the plan of the colonizers in the first place: they intended to create an insoluble situation like this in order to enforce the status quo in favor of their culture or ethnicity

the problem is clearer-cut with looted artifacts, tho: give the fucking elgin marbles back it's two thousand fucking sixteen
