Remember when Xbox was going to basically ban used games for the xbox one, and Playstation made fun of them with that video titled "how to share games on Playstation" and it was just one guy handing another a game disk? And now Playstation is getting rid of physical disks entirely
It’s like they expect us to just forget their original marketing schemes in favor of more and more money grabs.
twitter pham are being fucking hilarious

we are NOT bringing 4chan incel terminology to this site, take that "foid" out of your post and go wash your blog out with soap
the memeification of fascism is a proven method of perpetuating and instilling it in other people. Layers of irony will not protect you once you adopt racist, sexist, ableist, transphobic terminology into your lexicon. you'll be acknowledging and nursing the mindsets and connotations borne of those words.
"Twenty One Things You Don't Say To A Transsexual" written by Riki Anne Wilchins in TransSisters : The Journal Of Transsexual Feminism (Winter 1994)
I'm reading a study on how nurses define the term 'drug seeking', and what makes them more likely to put the 'drug-seeker' label on a patient's charts and. well. let me just throw down some quotes
"Needy, unable to cope" (<- you try coping with chronic pain)
"Comfort seeking" (<- you mean.. having a preference for not being in pain.. how criminal)
"Using or trying to obtain drugs on a long-term, chronic base" (<- do you understand what 'chronic pain' means.)
"Asking for pain med then returning to sleep."
"States he’s level 10 pain, but does not appear to be in pain (or ‘5= on appearance)." (<- it is well-known that chronic pain patients tend not to display pain in the same way as acute pain patients)
"Dramatic response to pain" (<- notice how this directly contradicts the comment above. you cannot win)
"Gets IV med, then leaves unit to smoke or walk around" (<- wow requiring medication and then going off to do something you needed pain meds to be able to do is so suspicious)
the article itself put it best when it says: “some comments depict patients trying to apply sound pain management principles, such as continuing to take medication for persistent pain”. no wonder all the other literature on the matter says that women of colour are the most likely group to be labelled drug-seeking. this shit is entirely vibes-based (read: based on the prejudices of nurses and doctors)
My father is a nurse, and he's also lived with chronic pain for ~20 years (turns out rural nursing in the 80s/90s without all the lifting tech and OHS will fuck up your back).
He fights so hard for his patients' rights to pain medication.
He fights so hard to make his patients feel heard about their pain, and to convince them that they're allowed to have access to the pain meds that have been prescribed to them.
It genuinely broke my fucking heart seeing him in hospital after a serious motorbike accident (caused by him running out of his regular pain meds, so the extra mental noise from the pain meant he mis-judged a corner), with 20-something fractures and a punctured lung, being given less than his everyday baseline pain medication and then being accused of being difficult and drug-seeking.
No fucking kidding. If you had more than a dozen fractures just to your ribcage (front and back, ie the thing that you're physically lying on, and that moves whey you breathe), and had also been awake for 2 days straight because of the pain, you might want some fucking drugs, too.
Denying pain medication to people in pain is literally torture.
If you work in the medical/healthcare field and are so terrified of addicts that you're happy to torture your patients, you should be barred from the field. Torturing people in pain should not be a systematic stance; it should be an abhorrence.
