dedra asks her dads for holiday advice for the first time:

dedra: comes home for sunday dinner. asks her fathers for advice regarding booking hotels.

partagaz: looks surprised. she never takes a holiday unless it’s one of their family trips.

krennic: gets excited. he loves a holiday; asks her where she’s planning on going.

dedra: “niamos.”

krennic: “and why would you go there? the food is poor, the beaches are okay at best and the place is filled with riff-raff.”

dedra: tells him that she’s been told she might like the beach. asks if she should book somewhere modest but sufficient or go all out and book somewhere expensive and luxurious.

partagaz: “modest but sufficient.”

krennic: “expensive and luxurious.”

partagaz: “you won’t be in the room much my dear, don’t waste money that way.”

krennic: “but what if she wants to spend time in her room, lio? have a hot bath, order some room service, book an in-room massage? what if she would like to sleep in or have a genuinely decent shower? a top-quality bed, refresher and room is essential for this.”

partagaz: reminds krennic that dedra has never slept in ever.

dedra: thinks about all this carefully. “i’ll go for expensive and luxurious then, thank you both.”

after dedra leaves:

krennic: reflects that it’s nice that dedra is finally giving herself a break in between isb projects.

partagaz: agrees.

krennic: “and it is good that she is treating herself for once. don’t i keep telling her that she doesn’t need to be quite so frugal all the time?”

partagaz: “indeed.”

krennic: “she’ll get some really good r&r at a more expensive place, you know? some proper, top-quality alone time to recharge.”

partagaz: …

partagaz: “she’s going with the syril boy, orson.”

krennic: …

krennic: …………………

krennic: ………………………………………….

partagaz: “why else do you think she picked expensive and luxurious?”
